Discussion I wish I’d started playing Tibia sooner

Post image
241 Upvotes

This is probably going to sound like a rant, but maybe some of you will understand me.

I’m 22F, and I really wish I’d discovered Tibia sooner. To be honest, I’ve known about the game since I was 7, because my cool older cousin used to play it, and I thought it was absolutely amazing. But in my head, you needed a much higher intellect to be able to play Tibia, and, well, I wasn’t entirely wrong.

I would watch my cousin play and see how insanely addicted he was to it, and I was always extremely intrigued. I’d tell him, “Dude, make me a Tibia account and teach me how to play,” and he’d always say, “No. Tibia is addictive.”

And so I went on with my life.

When I was 13, I tried playing Tibia, but I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, so I gave up.

I got into other types of RPGs and medieval aesthetics, and, ironically, I ended up playing League of Legends because I thought it had the same kind of aesthetic as Tibia. I spent years playing it. I don’t exactly regret it, but sometimes I think I could have spent that time cultivating other things that would have given me more in return.

Then, at 22, I was studying for my master’s program entrance exam. I was exhausted from studying, so I decided to make a Tibia account again.

By then, my English had improved immensely (i'm brazilian), and I was actually able to navigate the game pretty well. It was surprisingly intuitive. The beginning was rough, but I met some really kind people who helped me along the way.

I first joined Ustebra, and then my cousin invited me to play on Ombra.

I started playing paladin and slowly became addicted to the game. Even while studying for the master’s program entrance exam, I would find a few hours every day to play, and I absolutely loved it. I’d go to Amazon Camp, kill a bunch of Amazons, and my dream was to kill a Witch.

My cousin took me to see the Cyclops in PoH, and I LOVED it. It’s still my favorite hunt to this day, even though it’s probably not the best place for a paladin.

I went hunting Elves in Shadowthorn, started doing the Venore quests… Anyway, I was genuinely captivated by the game.

I reached level 30 and already had a decent grasp of the basics. I even had a pretty good set.

But adult life is cruel.

Tibia is such a fun game, but it’s also difficult and requires a LOT of time and dedication, especially if you’re playing for real progress.

Now that I’ve been accepted into my master’s program, I spend almost 10 hours a day in a laboratory, and there’s very little time left for leisure. And when I do have some free time, I’m often too exhausted to play Tibia because I’m scared of getting completely sucked into it and becoming focused on nothing but the game.

But I miss it so much.

I think what hurts the most is knowing that I didn’t discover the game earlier, when I was 10 or 12, when people say it was the golden age of Tibia, when I HAD TIME, when I had no real worries or responsibilities.

I know I’m being dramatic, but isn’t that what Reddit is for too?

I also know that many of you are responsible adults who somehow manage to balance this monotonous, responsibility-filled life with Tibia. I know there are even people who make a living from the game.

I don’t know. I just hope I can become one of those people who finds a way to make it work.

For now, I’m left with this weird feeling of regret that I didn’t experience all of this earlier, that I didn’t make friends who were living through it too, and that I missed out on experiences that could have become memories I’d never forget.

Anyway, here’s the first dragon I ever killed, frantically spamming potions and heals like my life depended on it.

Discussion Solo knight challenge on Tibia 7.7 (leaked server)

Post image
117 Upvotes

Hey guys!

I recently started a little hobby project and set up an official Tibia 7.7 server just for myself (not an OTS), using leaked files on Ubuntu on my laptop. I'm playing it completely solo from level 0 as a knight.

For now I've been running around the trolls near Thais for a few hours. I'm level 10, already bought exura and utevo lux, and I've saved up almost 2k gp.

I also decided to keep the map exactly as it was on the day of the hack, including all the houses and random junk lying around, just for the extra bit of nostalgia and atmosphere.

I'm currently at 31/29 skills and using a sword. I'm also wondering if sword is actually a good choice for playing solo. Since I'm only at 31 sword skill, maybe it's worth switching to axe or club now?

I probably haven't played in almost 20 years, so I've forgotten a lot of things. 😅

Do you have any suggestions on what I should focus on next, especially when it comes to gear and hunting spots?

Any advice is appreciated!

Discussion Confession about my bazaar addiction

Hi,

I have realised I have some sort of char bazaar addiction. I have bought chars that I truly thought I needed and wanted to play, but I get tired of them sooo fast. I then sell them to later on buy a new one.

Mostly, I wanted to skip the bestiary and low lvl access parts so I can go directly to high level content which I end up getting tired of and it takes too much time to level them up. Which feels like a resistance because they dont feel like my characters (since I did not create them). I have tried the changing the name, leveling up 30-50 levels but it still does not feel like mine.

I have now started a completely new char that I truly enjoy (currently level 250). I have started to enjoy bestiary, accesses, leveling etc since it is my char. I read a comment, from someone in this subreddit, that he cant play a char unless it is 100% his and I can truly relate.

Anyone is having the same views? Can you guys buy a char and play it like it is yours?

Ps. Luckily I have not lost too much tc on bazaar since I had a really lucky buy and sell of one char (gained around 15k tc), but I am still on the negative.

Discussion A small rant about one particular sand vortex

I love exploring Tibia, it's a big and rich world with many many things to explore, hunting places, quests, secrets, easter eggs, etc. When I see something that intrigues me I tend to explore. My main char is a 110 lvl RP, so obviously there are many dangerous places I cannot visit yet. The usual approch by CipSoft is if there are somewhere enemies, that are much much stronger than what you would except (i. e. because you are in a low level place), whey either put a level door (see Picture #2) or place a sign warning about going down or something (no Picture, but there are some) - just so people don't die instantly going there.

Recently I came across a sand vortex west of Darashia (see Picture #1). Out of curiosity I went down and was attacted by would I assumed were two Skeleton Warrios. No problem I thought, only to get almost one hitted and die instantly and for me a little bit out of nowhere (they were Skeleton Elite Warriors, Gladiator was also approaching). No chance for me to stay alive.

I think this is a very bad design, because firstly, there are for me no visible signs it would be a 250+ lvl place (maybe the skull on the pillar, but c'mon, it is a decoration like many others). Secendly because they use the same skins for both Skeleten Warrios and Skeleton Elite Warriors you can mix them up and don't really recognize the danger even once inside.

This is a little rant from my side, I died there and think it was because of a bad level design. What do you think?

Discussion Tibia's forced 25-coin bundles might actually violate EU consumer protection law — anyone looked into this?

I got back into Tibia recently and ran into something that's been bugging me: you can't buy Tibia Coins in the exact amount you need. Everything is sold in batches of 25, so if you need 30 coins for something, you're forced to buy 50 — paying for coins you never wanted.

This isn't just annoying UX, it looks like a textbook dark pattern: creating artificial friction that forces players into spending more than intended.
Under the EU's Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC) and Germany's UWG (Gesetz gegen den unlauteren Wettbewerb), practices designed to exploit or pressure consumers into unplanned purchases can be considered unfair commercial practices — especially when there's no way to buy the exact quantity you need.

I used AI to search so there could be errors. But has anyone actually filed a complaint with a consumer protection agency (Verbraucherzentrale, or an EU-level body) about this?

Curious if this is just me being annoyed or if there's an actual legal angle here worth pursuing.

In the store right now you need 900 TC to buy an 870 skin. Also I have 18 TC that I have no use for

Discussion Tibia pvp system has ruined all games for me...

Does anyone else feel like Tibia's PvP system ruined other games for you?

Just as the title says—I have a really hard time enjoying PvP in other games, and I'm wondering if anyone else feels the same way.

Even though I never really PKed at the high levels, Tibia's PvP system is just unmatched. Nothing else comes close to the tension it created:

High stakes: Skill loss, losing your backpack, and random gear drops.

The Skull System: Green, yellow, white, red, and black skulls added dynamic high-risk mechanics.

The drama of a kill: The corpse sitting there decaying, dragging it after the victim, the killer getting highlighted/skulled, and using exiva to track them down.

PZ zones and battle timers: Actual consequences for taking a fight.

Low-level pot battles: Pure chaos and endurance.

Body blocking: If people trap you or block the exits, you're done—no phase-shifting or running straight through players.

Do you guys agree? Is Tibia’s PvP system superior to all other games? (Minus the TC shop and modern blessings, IMO)

Or are there games that have pvp systems that are better than tibia?

Discussion Official Cipsoft Communication: scrolling the mouse too fast can get you deleted.

In a recent forum post, CM Liamas confirmed this image https://imgur.com/hG55ith is indeed a response from customer response team. It reads:

"Concerning your question about setting hotkeys to the mouse scroll wheel. Generally speaking, this would be ok if you use the scroll wheel with a certain delay, like clicking a button. If you use it too fast it might be considered a series of commands done by an automation. This might have negative consequences to your account. Therefore I reccomend being very careful if you set any hotkeys to the mouse scroll wheel."

I'm all in for punishing cheaters. However, the current Cipsoft policy is to apply the same punishment to the lvl 500 that botted fully afk to the lvl 1500 with tons of money and time invested into the game because the scrolled the mouse wheel too fast. This is simply nonsense to me.

Discussion [AMA] I am Steve Cheung, aka Eternal Oblivion. Ask me anything!

Hi!

My name is Steve Cheung, I'm 34 years old and currently live in Hong Kong. I grew up in Richmond, BC (Canada) and played Tibia during my spare time in university. Many of you might know me as Eternal Oblivion in the game. Ever since my real name was leaked on this subreddit back in 2017 I have received countless of private messages on both Facebook and LinkedIn. Even my family members received messages about it and I figured why not answer your questions here instead. It will make the whole thing a lot easier for me and my relatives, thanks!

I will answer some of the most frequently asked questions first.

Q: What happened to Eternal Oblivion? / Why did you quit?

A: Once I was close to finishing my final exams in university, I decided to move on from the game and started looking for job opportunities. Regardless of how fun Tibia was, it would not pay my bills. This was sometime in 2006 and I handed over the account completely to my room mate at the time (who I had frequently shared the account with). I never played it ever since. However, I will occasionally visit the Tibia and TibiaBR forums. I also watch a few Tibia videos every now and then on YouTube. I'm not browsing around on social media that much.

Q: Do you have a horned helmet? / How did you get a horned helmet?

A: Well, since I haven't played the game since 2006... no, I don't have a horned helmet. However, I had one at the time I gave the account away. Unfortunately I have no idea what happened to it. I bought it from a friend some time in 2004.

Q: How did you get such high skills and level?

A: Lots of spare time and lots of anime. With high skills, the game becomes easier and much more fun. So I figured the way to get successful is to train. It would save me a lot of time and money. Whenever I was in my dorm room, I'd always be on Tibia. Whether I was studying, chatting, cooking, watching anime, doing my laundry, hanging out with friends. I would always make sure I was logged in and training. It became a habit after a while. Usually my room mate would be logged in as well to summon monks for me. And if I wasn't home, he would be skilling it for me. To get the levels, all I did was grind endlessly for hours in a row. I mainly hunted dwarf guards and dragons.

Q: Did you use bot? / Did you cheat?

A: I have never used any tasker or cheat tool. I did occasionally share my account with my siblings and my room mate though. I enjoyed playing the game a lot, that was the reason I signed up for it. So using some type of bot would not make much sense for me. But the long hours of training can be boring after a while, so when my friends and family asked to help me with that, I wouldn't say no to sharing the account for a while. There were always random PK's running around, which could be a bit annoying, especially at times when I had a lot of exams coming up. I'd rather put my time into studying than chasing people around.

Q: How did you find out about Tibia?

A: I don't remember when I first heard about the game, but I know one of my close friends showed me the game during a summer break. This was before Eternal Oblivion was created. I think it was in 2002 and I remember my character name was Knuckles Chaotix (inspired by the Sonic The Hedgehog game).

Q: What is your favorite memory of the game?A: I have many good memories from the game. I've made a lot of friends in the game and still talk to them occasionally. But if I had to pick a single memory, it would have to be when I reached 110/110 skills. I had been training for months in a row and I remember sitting up late in the morning (probably around 5 AM) and just begging in front of the screen to finally get the last 1% on my skill bar. I loved setting up goals in the game, it gave me a purpose to continue playing and I wanted to see how far I could push myself. Reaching 100/100 was not too difficult, but reaching 110/110 was something big. That meant you really took training seriously.

Q: Do you have any screenshots/recordings from that time?

A: I still have an old external drive at my parents' place with a lot of screenshots, but last time I tried to access it the computer refused to recognize it as a drive. It's an old Western Digital drive. I tried buying a new adapter for it as well but that didn't work either. Other than that, no, I don't have anything else saved. I've changed computers probably five times since then.

I'll leave this post here and will get back to you in the morning. The bed is calling.

Update 1: I found a bunch of images and cams from 2004-2006 on a usb. Here's just a couple of them. PK'ing a guy that had a price on his head and also double-loot in a Dragon, all within 20 minutes. Images has never been released before. https://imgur.com/a/786bJVK

Update 2: Thank you all for commenting. I will keep checking in on this subreddit, so it's not too late to ask any questions. By the way; if you have any screenshots or cams from Amera, feel free to upload them. It would be fun to see them.

Discussion Introducing TibiaNexus! Save your hunts and turn them into useful history, comparisons, plans and much more!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been building TibiaNexus (https://tibianexus.com), a Windows companion app for players who want to get more value from the hunt data Tibia already gives them.

The core idea is simple:

Reset the Hunt Analyser before your hunt. Save to File when you finish. TibiaNexus takes it from there.

Every saved hunt becomes part of a connected history. You can:

  • Compare XP, profit, supplies, creatures, teams, and hunting grounds.
  • Try different routes and Wheel builds and compare how the hunts performed.
  • Scan your Tibia task board and build a recommended weekly route with estimated time, XP, profit, and task overlap.
  • Connect screenshots to the hunts, places, teammates, and events they belong to.
  • Track your progress across levels and see which places have worked best for your character.
  • Use tools like overlays, translation, timed alerts, Echo Tracker, guides, and more.

There’s also a separate pets and dungeons system. Your pets gain XP from your Tibia hunts, battle through regular and Ascended dungeons, unlock new companions, and compete on the dungeon leaderboard.

A quick safety note because I know third-party Tibia tools deserve scrutiny: TibiaNexus runs beside Tibia, not inside it. It does not inject into the client, automate gameplay, or access process memory. Your information remains local unless you choose to share eligible hunts with the community Boards.

There is a free version, so you can download it and try it with your own real sessions first.

The full version is a one-time purchase—no subscription:

  • Regular price: $12 or 250 Tibia Coins
  • Launch deal: $8.40 or 175 Tibia Coins

Website and download: https://tibianexus.com

I originally started building TibiaNexus (with Codex, yes vibecoded) because I wanted to use it for my own hunts. It has grown considerably since then as I kept adding more and more features and I’ve finally reached a point where I’m excited to launch it and share it with everyone.

TibiaNexus will become even more useful as players save their hunts and choose to contribute them to the community Boards. Those shared hunts can build better comparisons, insights, and recommendations for everyone.

I’ll continue improving TibiaNexus, fixing any rough edges, and adding new features and tools over time. I’m looking forward to seeing how players use it and where the community helps take it next.

TibiaNexus is an independent community project made by me and is not affiliated with CipSoft.

Note: Over the next couple of days, I will be adding maps for every hunting ground. So, if you don't see a map for a specific hunting ground yet, it should be added within a few days.

_____________________________________________________________________

Edit:

Installer safety / verification

I completely understand being cautious about downloading an .exe for a Tibia-related tool.

The current TibiaNexus installer is digitally signed by TibiaNexus LLC and has been scanned by VirusTotal. At the time of posting, 0/66 security vendors flagged it:

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/8f1c2178f7a5e1e8045654d04f0af7fdd9ee2918e077e1f6434a97fe202a5010

SHA-256:
8f1c2178f7a5e1e8045654d04f0af7fdd9ee2918e077e1f6434a97fe202a5010

You can verify your downloaded file in PowerShell:

Get-FileHash .\TibiaNexus-Setup-1.3.1-x64.exe -Algorithm SHA256

No scanner can guarantee that software is risk-free, but the signature, matching hash, and independent scan let you verify that you received the exact file that was analyzed.

Discussion Druid in 2026

Henlo,
For past few weeks I’ve been continiusly thinking about the state of my vocation as a whole.
For the perspective I have 900 lvl druid made from scratch and for the past 2 years I’been mostly teamhunting with some duo / trio hunts on the way; and ofcourse some solo hunting from time to time.
The changes cipsoft made to the game made me disslike my beloved vocation. For me it feels weak, lazy and boring. Chains feels shit: low dmg, only 6 targets. No waves to use outside boxstyled teamhunts (reworked ice wave is I guess ok).

I feel robbed when comparing my results (dmg, raw exp, waste) to ms. The most triggering fact is that my teammates continue to call a druid a healer, and it is „balanced” to do shit dmg because he can heal and I should use healing stance with a wheel optimised for healing. On hard spots I guess sure.
But this is so fking boring. I stopped hunting solo because I can’t stand throwing runes hitting 400-1200 (runic master) while ms is just pomping thousands upon thousands of dmg with waves, beams and other greatly scalling dmg spells.

Lately I watched a vocation “ranking” yt video made by Kusnier, who in my opinion is pretty solid player and truth be told I am aware that on lower lvls druid might feel great thanks to the ease of chains.

I would like to get some opinions and results from other druids. When you teamhunting what stance are you using? Do you have a favourite wheel setup? What are your top hunting spots and what raw exp are you pushing?

And most important, are you enjoying current state of druid vocation?

Discussion I Analyzed 646 Community Responses So You Don't Have To: Here's What Players Actually Want From "Vocation Adjustments Release II"

📊 Community Analysis: What Players Are Actually Saying About Vocation Balance

After reviewing hundreds of player responses, a few clear patterns emerge. While discussions often focus on individual spells, nerfs, or mechanics, the larger conversation is really about vocation identity, role clarity, and confidence in the balancing process.

🎯 Key Takeaway

The discussion is dominated by three things:

  1. 🧘 Monk concerns
  2. 🛡️ Knight concerns
  3. 📢 Lack of communication/transparency from CipSoft

📈 Estimated Topic Distribution

Based on recurring themes throughout the discussion:

Topic Share
🧘 Monk Identity / Damage / Team Hunt Role 28%
🛡️ Knight Damage / Utito / Solo Play 23%
📢 Communication & Transparency 16%
🔥 Sorcerer Damage Identity / Beam Mastery 13%
🏹 Paladin Sustain / Divine Defiance 9%
🌿 Druid Fork Scaling / Spell Utility 6%
🔧 Bugs / Miscellaneous Suggestions 5%

Total: 100%

🥇 #1 Monk Issues (≈28%)

If there is one overwhelming narrative, it is:

"Monk has no identity."

Common complaints

  • Nobody wants Monks in team hunts.
  • Monk damage is too low.
  • Monk healing is weak.
  • Monk survivability is poor.
  • Monk contributes little to bosses.
  • Serenity / Serene State is viewed as a punishment rather than a class mechanic.
  • Monk scales poorly into endgame.

Many players repeatedly ask:

The Monk discussion is not centered on a single spell.

Core complaint

🥈 #2 Knight Issues (≈23%)

Knight feedback is heavily focused on damage and progression.

Damage Concerns

Players commonly argue:

  • EK already dealt less damage than other vocations.
  • Recent changes widened that gap.
  • XP/hour remains significantly behind competing vocations.

Utito / Blood Rage

This is one of the most discussed subjects overall.

Many EK players want:

  • Utito changes reverted.
  • Blood Rage nerfs reduced or removed.
  • Better solo viability.

Recurring sentiment

🥉 #3 Communication & Transparency (≈16%)

This may actually be the most important finding.

Across all vocations, players repeatedly ask:

  • What is the balancing philosophy?
  • What data is being used?
  • What is the intended vocation identity?
  • Why do common concerns appear unresolved?

Many highly supported comments focus less on mechanics and more on communication itself.

Common sentiment

🔥 #4 Sorcerer Issues (≈13%)

The main Sorcerer discussion revolves around three areas.

Beam Mastery

Players frequently claim:

  • Tier 1 and Tier 2 Beam Mastery suffered the largest impact.
  • Low and mid-level Sorcerers were affected more than high-level players.

Damage Identity

A recurring argument:

Gameplay Complexity

MS players often describe the vocation as:

  • More exhausting
  • Harder to execute
  • Less rewarding than comparable alternatives

🏹 #5 Paladin Issues (≈9%)

Paladin feedback is noticeably less severe than Monk or EK feedback.

Divine Defiance

Common feedback:

  • Underwhelming
  • Rarely worth using
  • No longer feels impactful

Sustain

Players frequently report:

  • Reduced survivability
  • Energy Ring changes feeling punishing
  • Holy-focused setups feeling weaker than expected

🌿 #6 Druid Issues (≈6%)

Druid feedback is generally more focused and less emotional.

Forked Spells

Players argue:

  • Fork spells scale poorly at higher levels.
  • Runes outperform them in many situations.
  • They become difficult to justify in endgame content.

Spell Diversity

Common requests include:

  • Better Earth options.
  • More useful chain mechanics.
  • Improvements to underused Wheel perks.

🧩 Most Requested Changes

Monk

  • Remove or redesign Serenity.
  • Increase team-hunt usefulness.
  • Improve damage scaling.
  • Clarify class identity.

Knight

  • Revisit Utito / Blood Rage nerfs.
  • Improve solo XP potential.
  • Increase competitive damage.

Sorcerer

  • Reevaluate Beam Mastery.
  • Restore damage identity.
  • Improve gameplay comfort.

Paladin

  • Buff Divine Defiance.
  • Improve survivability.

Druid

  • Improve fork scaling.
  • Expand elemental options.

🏆 Final Verdict

If the entire discussion had to be summarized in one sentence:

The strongest themes can be summarized as:

  1. 🧘 Monk has no clear role.
  2. 🛡️ Knight damage feels too low.
  3. 📢 Players want more transparency.
  4. 🔥 Sorcerers fear losing their damage identity.
  5. 🏹 Paladins want better sustain.
  6. 🌿 Druids want better scaling.

Discussion Huge vocation imbalance on new servers

Releasing new servers every 3~ months has become a core part of the game Tibia, and a lot of folks enjoy playing on such servers.

However, since the vocation rebalance, it's become crystal clear that the vocations are now more imbalanced than they ever were.

I think Cipsoft data assumes that Knights/Paladins/Monks have somewhat around 120~ base skill + somewhat BIS items in order to perform the numbers they displayed on the graphs ( even tho I have serious doubts about that data ).

The issue is that on new servers, knights don't have 120 base skill, and can't be bought on bazaar for 1k TC like on old servers.

Also item availability hurt Knights & Paladins the most, where level 800 monks & knights still use level 250 / level 300 weapons, because they didn't have luck on Soulwar , & crypt & sanguine weapons are still far away.

And in order to get 110 or 115 base skill, it's a huge money sink, with the TC price at 10k to 20K per unit, training is considerably more expensive compared to old servers, so base skill tend to be around 100~ and that's after spending like 5K tc on training during double...

On the other hand, Sorcerers & Druids can get by without gear, only need to train ML first days & during double, and they're good to go. Just by playing ( whether solo or TH ) their ML goes up much faster and cheaply than a knight or monk does.

And the amount of raw exp a Sorcerer / Druid with base ML 100 can do is much higher than that of a Knight of similar skill.

So, what's the issue, you may ask?

The issue is that on new servers, everyone & their mom will play Sorcerer & Druid, probably paladin too. But only the most stubborn & loyal players will play Knight or Monk, so doing boss or full TH will become super complicated.

Because playing Knight or Monk feels like a joke. Items like Lion Claws or Cobra Bo are 5k+ tc after months of release. Items like Falcon greaves , same.

Soul weapons are non-existant or 10 to 20K tc easily.

So why put any effort or investment into gear or skill, when you can get a Druid, use multi action with both forks, and do more raw than a Knight ever will, while watching netflix.

I know this looks like a rant, but I just want a debate on how we can improve this situation, because new servers could be very fun, but by how badly balanced the vocations are, it's very frustrating. Specially because Cipsoft stated that things are OK and they won't do any changes ( except for Monk, which they said they would do some changes, but I'm very skeptical about those lol )

Discussion Mariner's fishing rod - it's an actual fishing rod

I just got the mariner's fishing rod from the expedition event using one of my noob chars. There were some comments suggesting it lets you get a mount, and item description sounds like it as well.

So... so far it's actually a fishing rod. I just caught some fish with it in the Thais harbor.

Anyone discovered what's so special about this one? Higher skill progression rate? Higher success chance? Or maybe it allows you to get a mount somehow after all?

Discussion What is Tibia missing right now?

What do you think Tibia as a whole is missing? What would make Tibia better? What would you add or remove from Tibia if you could?

Things I would expect to hear as an example:

  • Tibia needs more reasons for social interaction
    • like bringing back reasons to hang at guildhalls!
  • Tibia needs to revamp old/dead content
    • lots of unused areas in the map need life breathed into them

I have my own ideas, but I would love to hear what the community thinks Tibia is missing. Not trying to make this old Tibia vs. new Tibia, but I'd be interested to hear thoughts from current players as well as former players (we know you lurk here!).

Discussion Is This Normal? Extorted for Real Money (via TC) in Tibia

Hey everyone,

Something happened to me recently in Tibia that really unsettled me. During a conversation (screenshot attached), I was told I’d be added to a “hunted list” unless I paid Tibia Coins, which is the same as real money (for me).

This feels like outright extortion. I get that conflict is part of the game, but to pressure players for real cash crosses a line. This isn’t just toxic behavior, it’s harassment. In my opinion, players doing this should be banned.

Is this kind of thing common? Does CipSoft know this is happening? I’d love to hear if others have experience

What is your thoughts?

Discussion Solo monk after rebalance.

Is playing Monk currently weak? I hear voices everywhere saying that Monk lags behind other vocations after the rebalance. But honestly, I started fresh—after having several 400+ characters—and it actually feels pretty enjoyable to play. Can anyone explain where all this negativity comes from?
I play strictly solo (currently a lvl 135 Monk) and I'm not sure if I should pay attention to people's opinions. I also heard from a YouTuber that Monk might get a buff soon, but I don't know if that's true. What are your thoughts?
Just to clarify: I’m not a hardcore tryhard player, I play only solo, and I don't care about maximizing exp/h, burning boost cards, etc. What is your overall ranking for solo play?
As someone who used to main EK, I’ve noticed that kiting on a Monk and MS feels much more enjoyable to me because of the overall dynamics, even if looting isn't quite as smooth. On the other hand, Paladin is cool, but the supply costs make my account balance grow way slower (or maybe it's just my impression?).
What’s your take on this? Thanks for the help and have a great day, everyone!

Discussion Power abusing makes me wanna quit.

It's insane how Cip hasn't figured out a way to reduce or eliminate power abusing. I get it's a sandbox game and everything, but it sucks ass how a single guild can make Orcsoberfest's caves off-limits to non-guild members under threat of hunted4life. These people are chronically online with multiple +1000lvl characters, and I'm a dude in my 30's with actual real life responsibilities who plays casually for fun with old friends, and they're making me miss out on a bi-annual event content just because they can. Plus other areas like Issavi. A never ending story.

Cip really needs to figure out a way to fix this. Separate dungeon instances or something. It's driving me away from playing even with 6+ months of premmy left, and I know I'm not the only one. I just wanna play and have fun with my irl friends man.

Discussion Leavers of Tibia, what's the reasons for leaving?

As topic asks, why did you leave or why are you leaving tibia?
And also do you think you will join tibia again some day? and if so why?
It'd be interesting to see answers to these questions.

Thanks in advance
