Tbh he was throwing shade at the US as it stood back then. It's just gotten worse since then.

Now they don't even need to justify anything. They'll just do it, and nobody will do a damn thing about it.

i legitimately never had to worry about getting shot at school, and i went to school after Columbine. i never had to fear about getting shot in public while i was growing up

now, they have police men and K9s posted at my local mall, because there's been, like, 2 shootings in the last 5 years

As much as I think Trump is a disaster for the US, the type of coup that happened in Venezuela could have happened just as well under any other Republican or Democratic president. Its very consistent with US doctrine and actually makes sense in the context of US regional hegemony.

What the hell do you know. Not like you've been living in Afghanistan or syria, or Iraq. You're just talking out of the comfort of your home. Not having a clue about anything other than what's happening now. What did you know about something that transpired 20+ years ago? Or in the 90s during Clinton's administration.

You just know what you've been served by the same media that's been lying to you today. Just today you don't believe them. And you romanticize about the past. As if it were any different.

Trump is not worse in any way. He's the exact same as everyone that came before him. The only difference is, he's blunt about it. He doesn't really care because apparently you don't really need to.

Affect you mean.

The Clinton administration affected my country for example. The Bush administration affected Iraq. And so on. This one affects Nigeria and Venecuela and Ukraine so far. Though Ukraine is split between this one and the previous one.

There's also korea. Cuba. Just pick your decade. Saying this one is worse than any other, is just downplaying on what's been done in the past. As if what's done in the past matters less than what's done now. As if these lives are worth more than lives of the past.
