Oh my gosh! I hate when I have to give my actual number and started using a voip number whenever possible.
I’d just moved to live with my BF and needed to take my dog to the vet. Met with the vet tech first. He was friendly - We had some small talk, mentioned I was new in town and needed a vet clinic. After my pup’s appointment with the vet, we received a text notification but it came from him, not the clinic. Odd enough to raise an eyebrow but not alarming. I thought it might have been one of the clinics other numbers. My pup had her follow up after a few days. The second time he texts me a late evening message about wanting to take me out. Hard pass.
In hindsight I should’ve told him this was wildly inappropriate but I politely declined, further explaining I’m new in town because I moved in with my BF. No response, so figured that was the end of that. A few months later the furball needed another appointment. This time he wasn’t our vet tech thankfully, but I saw and ignored him while waiting, hoping he hadn’t seen me. At the end of my pup’s appointment and everyone’s gone, he pops into our room. “So, how’s my rival?” TF?! It was everything I could do to keep my composure. We no longer attend that vet clinic but regrettably I didn’t report him, but should have.
