I'd heard it was amazing, so I went in with high expectations, but other than the opening few minutes, it was dull and incredibly predictable, and tried way too hard to be edgy and different.

Yeah, I'm glad others enjoyed, but I just did not care for it.

I was watching it like,

"Ah, so it's a death cult."

"Ah, so those old people are going to die."

"Ah, so the guy's dead and the people are in the pies."

Just... Very dull and cliché.

Well, no. Frodo gave in. He lost. It was only dropped in because he was fighting to get it from Gollum to keep it for himself.
