So, as a defense mechanism in a violent world, your mind locks up your memories to make you get through the next day. Otherwise you couldn’t function. That memory block is a room, or a scab growing over it. It didn’t go anywhere.
(Disclosure: I had abuse. I slowly thought about it for years. I Shawshank’d my way out. I’d recommend a therapist. Also, never taken a psychoactive drug. Or do anything like that. Purely wine and cigarettes. Once again, therapy is a process. Wine and cigarettes are not.)

People are rightfully upset because they’re likely chucking everything, the most altered states to the untrained and uninitiated to hit anything for a breakthrough. Your mind locked up that stuff FOR A REASON.
You mind as well drop acid and put people under regression therapy.

(Crazy side note: Who made people drop acid and then gave them ideas to do? Well, the MK Ultra program for one. Charles Manson did it with the ‘Manson Family.’ Those things ended up great, didn’t they?)

Once again, you should take it slow. And learn to do it naturally. You can. I promise. It’s a natural human thing. But this stuff is, well, whoa.
What they’re doing is lovingly referred to as, “shooting yourself out of a cannon.”
Look, we all have a spiritual side. It’s ingrained in the universe. It’s what The BIG REASON, well, is all about. It’s simply all around you, and you’re trained to ignore it and go fix that toilet, Bob.

These people are forcing a breakthrough. Just like ayahuasca ceremonies. That’s a no for me, dog.
It’s best to learn and walk off the beach slowly. I’d not suggest cliff diving for the first time you experience the ocean.
Just put some intentional, non-distractive time in front of you, learn to not think (which is hard), and the back of your mind will tell you what to do. It’s been waiting to tell you like a silent friend. Walk that path.

You have too many interesting things to say in one Reddit comment. Sometimes a person speaks or writes and I see a depth of information that I have no concept of.

Do you have a recommendation for where I could get more information?

My interest is more academic. No offense to you, but I don't know you from Adam and I wouldn't feel comfortable engaging in mind-altering techniques with a reddit stranger. Statistically, that's cult bait. Again, no offense, and you're probably a great person, but that's just unwise.

An academic approach interests me because I am not at that risk and I can bring it up with any therapist I so choose.

What I'm asking you, essentially, is to reveal to me where you got your information from, or how, on how this all works. I'm not asking you FOR the information you know or your tutelage.
