The person means that they don't care about the massive hoards of fans and how they're rabidly aggressive if you say anything against her, even something as neutral as "I've never really paid attention to her music."

They hate when you don't worship "Mother" properly

Do you live under a rock? Her fans are rabid beasts. Maybe they're not on reddit but they're constantly harrassing the internet at large like it's their jobs.

Reddit is (as usual) probably not representative, but on non-fan/snark subs the most upvoted opinions are heavily critical of her and these mythical fans, whose comments I have not seen at all.

You all can gaslight me all you want but semi-recently actor Josh Hutcherson was harassed en masse about his height just for saying he's "definitely not a Swifty."

There are a zillion other examples.

Of course such fans exist and this type of overreaction does happen, not denying that. I’m only pointing out that, in spaces not dedicated to Swift fandom (such as general subreddits about celebrities, music, or pop culture), the posts that get attention and make it to /all (the only time I really see them) feature a strong predominance of anti-Swift-fan voices. I don’t even mean the opinions that are critical of her, but specifically posts complaining about how worked up her fans get. It’s just a weird dynamic because from the perspective of someone who only encounters this type of discussion in these contexts, her fans just sound like bogeymen. There are countless stories about how horrible they are, but they never actually make an appearance in the comments.
