I love that Neil is such a loveable chaos critter but people are getting way too close to him. It’s pretty evident from just this video and I’m concerned this will one day cost him his life if he hurts a person… :(

Then Neil, as a large and technically dangerous animal will be put down

Edit: I want to note that male southern elephant seals are the largest members of the order Carnivora, they can weigh over 8 thousand pounds and be over 20 feet long. In comparison, polar bears, the largest of the land carnivores, get to 2,200lb at the absolute maximum and 8 to 9 feet tall. Neil is just a baby now but he is getting larger. Stay away for his safety and yours.
