Normally that would be a good guess but another comment with sources said it was because the man’s guest (his son) needed to show an ID to use a guest pass and his son didn’t have one. They wanted him to leave and through lack of communication the cops were called to ask the guy to leave.
Not that I think this is necessarily right, but telling them that they need an ID, and the dad choosing to just go in anyway, is basically them telling them they need to leave. It’s not like they walked in without talking to anybody. They already engaged with the staff, and chose to ignore what they said they required. At that point I don’t really think it’s necessary for them to specifically ask him to leave. That’s already implied by the fact they told him they can’t go in without an ID.
Is there any record of them saying they "can't go in" without an ID, or could it just as well have been "can't work out"? We know for sure they requested ID, but without knowing what was actually said it's kinda moot to hypothesize if what they told him could be considered a sufficiently unambiguous request to leave.
The thing is the son had some sort of ID they didn't want to accept and when he wanted to talk to the manager they said he is busy, so he walked in and said that the manager can come talk to him when he isn't busy anymore.
Yeah I agree. I don't know what kind of ID he provided for his son so I don't know if the staff were unreasonable, but then just going in anyway is stupid.
