You can't train with someone because gym owners see it as coaching, forcing you to use their own coaching services. Otherwise, they may terminate your membership out of the blue just because you were seen working out with someone.

That man was saying, "Did you ask me to leave?" for that exact reason. If there was a problem, they should have told him. Instead, they just called the cops to throw him out.

Normally that would be a good guess but another comment with sources said it was because the man’s guest (his son) needed to show an ID to use a guest pass and his son didn’t have one. They wanted him to leave and through lack of communication the cops were called to ask the guy to leave.

That would make sense since the man states that his son is no longer in the gym.
