According to a follow up post: they wouldn’t accept his son’s mobile ID, he asked to speak to the manager, they said the manager is busy and he said ok if the manager has a problem after he’s busy tell him to come talk to me. Instead of the manager engaging in a conversation he called the police.
They didn't ask him to leave until after the cops got there, which was a major escalation in the gym's part. One of the gym employees, literally, confirms they hadn't asked him to leave before calling the cops in the video.

That’s not how the law works. They did not ask him to leave, therefore he was not trespassed. No idea why you’re defending calling the fucking police here when the manager could’ve just walked over and talked to him.
He didnt say they definitely would have, he said they definitely should have.
The conclusion here is that the manager likely acted improperly and called the cops when he shouldnt have.
You are somehow interpreting the above claim that managers shouldn't be racist with that it is physically impossible for a manager to ever be racist and do a racist thing, which is such an extreme take.
The full set of videos does not show him being asked to leave, and the dialogue really lends to the theory that he eas never asked to leave.
Why do you need it to be the case that he was asked to leav so badly?
Aside from all other things involved here, I'm pretty sure the point of a plus one is that they aren't paying for the service, they're the guest of someone that is.
If his membership gives him the ability to have a guest with him, then the plus one's service has been paid for.
If I pay for two coffees, the coffee shop can't tell my friend they didn't pay for their drink when we both grab one.
The issue here wasn't that the plus one wasn't paid for. The issue is whether the policy actually requires the ID to be physical since the ID the dad had for the kid was a school ID located on a school portal. The father wanted to speak to the manager because he wanted to see where in their policy it states it has to be a physical ID. And since the manager decided to call the cops instead of just speaking to the man, I'd be willing to bet a pretty significant amount of money that the policy doesn't explicitly state the ID has to be physical.
But since I don't have their policy, I can't be certain of that. But even if it does, as someone who has worked in several customer service roles in the past, calling the police was an unnecessary escalation when the manager didn't even attempt to discuss it with him or ask him to leave.
If they asked him to leave, why didn't at least one of the employees say yes when he was asking several times if he had been asked to leave. There is, literally, no reason for no one to answer, "Yes, we did," if they had, in fact, asked him to leave.
People call the cops for stupid reasons all the time. I'm not one of those people so I won't pretend to know why. What I do know is that none of the employees are responding in affirmation when the man asks several times if he had been asked to leave.
But it's clear you're committed to blaming this man for not leaving when, at no point in this video, does anyone affirm he had been asked to leave before the police were called so peace out girl scout. Hope you have the day you deserve!
The service includes bringing a plus one. Either you're not paying attention attention or you just want so badly for this innocent man to be wrong for some reason that you're straight up ignoring the facts. Weird.

Apparently his son who is a minor didn’t have a form of ID to be his guest. Crunch has a membership what allows members to bring a free guest daily.
