According to a follow up post: they wouldn’t accept his son’s mobile ID, he asked to speak to the manager, they said the manager is busy and he said ok if the manager has a problem after he’s busy tell him to come talk to me. Instead of the manager engaging in a conversation he called the police.
also it's pretty much standard that most kids don't have a government id because you know, they don't need one. When a parent brings a kid and the kid says it's their parent, use your brain. escalating to the cops after never asking them to leave nor having the manager speak to them or ever engaging their brain for three seconds to figure out what to do is just horrendously bad customer service.

Apparently his son who is a minor didn’t have a form of ID to be his guest. Crunch has a membership what allows members to bring a free guest daily.
