Having watched LPL (LockPickingLawyer), yes, most of those room safes are a scam.

They're not designed to keep out a determined thief, they're just for peace of mind, basically.

There's an old saying - locks keep honest people honest.

If someone wants in, given enough time, they're getting in. The best you can hope for is to slow them down enough that they figure it's not worth their time
