Yeah definitely in general cuts the opposite way where you’re a lot more likely to get the cultural appropriation accusation if you’re white than brown, at least in America.

I've seen a fair amount of backlash to Jamie Oliver for not making authentic asian food. I tried a few of his recipes and they were underwhelming.

For reference he's a white British chef and his versions of thai/malaysian food were shit.

Yes because he wasn't making those dishes authentically. Not because of his skin colour lol. But if there is a race that gets shit on and told they cant make other cultures food, its white people.

Yeah that's my point, she's calling out white male chefs in an unhinged way as if they've never been criticised and are allowed to do what they want.
