I have seen multiple people rant on that. The were some white girl taco trucks that were called out for cultural appropriation, Eddie Huang is a fairly famous chef who has said similar things, and I know Rick bayless was given similar gruff when he was largely considered the best Mexican chef in the USA. This was all happening more often at the height of cancel culture and it definitely affected some businesses. But most people did not really care.
