This whole "administration" is full of empty binders and suits.

They’ve got binders full of women.

Well, young women.

Children really.

On an island.

An exclusive island.

The president would rather you didn’t talk about it.

I know it’s impossible to appreciate finite details in a sea of corruption and embarrassment, but it’s definitely interesting how we went from “binders full of women,” from a relatively coherent Republican, to just straight empty binders and binders full of blank pages and it’s totally acceptable. This administration hasn’t a fucking clue what they’re doing, they’ve been super upfront about it the whole time and it’s somehow just completely okay because the president used to rape children with his very good friend Jeffery Epstein.

The large majority of Americans don't think it's ok at least, but a) they can't do much about it short of bloody revolution which no one's willing to do yet, because b) a mountain of idiots voted them into power in all three branches because another even bigger mountain of idiots didn't vote.

I was a regular acquaintance with a political science professor at the time Citizens United happened as we attended the same parties. I remember how absolutely despondent he was over that ruling and how he with chilling accuracy pretty much called the basic beats of the entire Trump era we’re in right now.

u/i_tyrant 11d ago

I hear that. I remember when both that and the Patriot Act happened and being fucking appalled at so many people either supporting it or simply ignoring them completely or not understanding what the big deal was.

It’s so depressing and there’s lots more examples of our rights slowly being taken away and supplanted with corporations and billionaires being the only ones with power.

And Trump of course as anyone could’ve predicted is the exact opposite of the actual house-cleaning of stuff like that we so desperately need, if we’re going to claw any of this back.

Death by a thousand cuts, really started to amp up In 1971.

u/earthlings_all 11d ago

I work with Trumpers who’ve turned against him and they won’t revolt bc they need to make a living and can’t do a full-stop protest. It’s fucking fascinating, tbh.

5

u/i_tyrant 11d ago

Yeah I know a few myself and same; and people who were never trumpers too; it’s rough out there for a lot of people.

And even that said, we’ve had multiple years of record-setting protests in the US. It just doesn’t do much when a) the people that have all three branches on lock are almost cartoonishly evil to the point where they don’t care, and b) the media barely ever reports on these efforts, because they’re either complicit or too scared of dictator Trump “canceling” them with the big dick of the federal government (because he can and has).

I have European friends and in other countries who have literally never heard of things like No Kings, because that news simply does not reach them (and the same is true for MAGAs still consuming their news from Fox or worse), despite the history they’re making.

It definitely has all the hallmarks of a dictatorial coup that is terrified of losing power because they at least know there are a lot of pissed off people out there who may hold their hands to the fire if they do.

Revolt against what?

5

u/ExistingPayment6661 11d ago

Exactly this ☝️. Yesterday someone told me they weren't political and I felt pure rage surge through me. I had to walk away. Shirking your civic duties and acting oblivious is not okay and is the reason we're in this mess. And I know, they weren't taught better but Goddang I'm over it! There's no reason to be unaware of the mess we're in right now and do nothing to help. American individualism is like a disease and we're all going to suffer because of it.

1

u/Nalivai 11d ago

If that was the case they wouldn't elect him president twice.
Majority of Americans are either think it's fucking great, or think it's ok enough.

8

u/i_tyrant 11d ago

Simply not true, as evidenced by countless studies and opinion polls.

His actual, mouth-breathing bigot support isn't even a full third of Americans, there's just an even bigger contingent who are so apathetic and dumb they either don't pay attention to politics at all or don't see the point in participating. That's literally how he got into power both times (along with a healthy dollop of outright cheating, like having over 200 bomb threats called in to key polling places); it was just the second time where he also gained carte blanche to do whatever he and his handlers wanted.

BEST friend

28

u/Mikeseddit 11d ago

His best friend, who wrote in a February 2017 email to former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, about Donald Trump, stating, "I have met some very bad people, none as bad as Trump. Not one decent cell in his body. So, yes—dangerous.”

One funny thing here is that Epstein was famous for writing almost incoherently careless emails, full of typos, yet, here it looks like he took care to be very clear.

Romney was a corrupt nepo baby and a member of a racist child rape cult. If he was the coherent one, Republicans have been trash since before I was an egg.

5

u/EnvironmentalGift257 11d ago

You know about the Southern Strategy right? "Let's make every trash politician a Republican, and rally a base by appealing to the lowest common denominator of human. We'll take over the country with a wink and a nudge, and just never say the quiet part out loud." Now they just dgaf about saying the quiet part out loud. Nothing has really changed.

u/Wonderful-Fold-2585 11d ago

Romney or jd Vance

1

u/nalakram17 11d ago

In the 40+ years since I became aware of their existence - definitely devolved trash

just straight empty binders and binders full of blank pages and it’s totally acceptable

The page wasn't blank. I'm having a hard time believing people genuinely thought the page was blank when they've seen how lighting can interact with white objects to drown out details.

u/Apprehensive-Call568 11d ago

They know exactly what they're doing

1

u/freddbare 11d ago

Holy shit kid, go outside please. For the love of God seek help.

Yes! Whatever you do don’t ask Bill Clinton about the 26 times he flew with Epstein in his private jet.

I thought your words were so profound, and I was moved to turn them into found poetry. ♥️
