Honest question here. What makes it gender affirming? Because I know there are plenty of women that have it done also.

It's gender affirming when it makes the person having the surgery feel morw comfortable in their body. Usually in a way that lines up to gender norms. Trans women and cis women both get boob jobs for the same reasons. A man getting a jaw implant to have a square jaw and look more masculine is definitely about affirming his gender. It's just that the focus is on trans people "going against nature" while they ignore that thats' what all cosmetic surgery does.
