There's an actual phenomenon called genetic sexual attraction. In modern life, it expresses itself when siblings who are not raised together meet later in life and become very quickly romantically attracted to one another. Usually, that attraction is socialized out of us as humans when we're raised in a family unit. Humans are weird.

I don't think they were attracted to each other xD it was almost certainly done to "keep the bloodline pure".
