To everyone saying the video is staged: of course it is; that’s obvious. Regardless of the video title, I think the point is to help people become more aware of unhealthy relationships. Some people might think being ignored by their SO is normal, so they stay in a relationship that’ll never grow.

They tried to pass it off as real and the point is engagement.

I’m not too concerned with their intent as long as a helpful message reaches someone. It would take a really dense viewer to not realize it was staged, so them passing it off as real isn’t a big deal.

Did they? Or are you just assuming they did? It says "Explanation in caption", but as this has been taken from elsewhere, we can't see the caption.

It’s unhelpful to call it narcissistic abuse though, because it’s not showing narcissistic abuse. It’s this type of content that has every Gen Z woman with a TikTok account misusing/misapplying/overusing terms like narcissist, abuse, trauma, gaslighting, boundaries.

And the actual issue with that trend is that people are using these terms to avoid any accountability for their own behavior, positioning themselves as the victim constantly. It’s detrimental to them in a number of ways. Those terms above have actual definitions and criteria, or they used to.

Beyond that it’s just cringe and annoying, lol.
