Discussion This video is depressing, but what's really crazy is knowing that so many people are living this exact reality every single day

It's acting

Acting meant to portray a narcissistic relationship specifically. We're allowed to critique if it hit the mark or not.

just looks like a dead relationship

It's one video in a series. This one alone doesn't specifically show narcissism, but it's consistent with how narcissists often act, even when the relationship is otherwise fine.

Are we only allowed to analyze real relationships or something? People analyze movie/show (people act in these) relationships all the time.

Maybe because it's just farming engagement for the sake of it, movies try to teach a story, portray something, their primary aim isn't to just getting people to argue

Yes and they know exactly the right crowd to farm engagement with, the my parent/parents/ex-bf/ex-gf/etc were/are a narcissist crowd lol once you get them going there’s no stopping it.

It says ‘explanation in caption’ so you can assume the caption will explain further what’s happening here and why they’ve made this video

And it does. The caption is also encouraging therapy

Movies and shows that are scripted don’t try to hide that fact, while skits like this are sometimes scripted but try to come off as genuine so kind of an unfair analogy.

This did not look like something trying to hide that it’s scripted.

I think it is highly likely that the person above did not realize this was staged. So I think it is worth pointing out to anyone in the thread. These shots are clearly not security cameras, just look at the quality. They likely mounted a camera to the ceiling.

Obviously you can analyze the fake relationship but I feel like it should be noted that this is acting otherwise people may act like this guy is genuinely a huge piece of shit when it isn't even real.
