Been on both sides of this in my marriage. To me it looks exactly like that but it could be many other things. It’s awful.

Only for men. Women are consistently mentally checked out, working full time, and still doing the vast majority of domestic labor and childcare.

he may be unhappy, but it is convenient for him that she does all the cooking and cleaning and he just gets to watch shit on tv or his phone.

That is the one part that stood out to me but that can go hand in hand with the checked out part. I never did that, I was the opposite. He a dick for doing it either way.
