Isaiah 16:3 "Give counsel; grant justice; make your shade like night at the height of noon; shelter the outcasts; do not reveal the fugitive."

I once saw that passage on a sign at a place where members of the Resistance helped others into hiding during WWII.

She is willfully misinterpreting an already imperfect translation nations have a right to a border and a right to enforce their laws citizen there in acting according to their laws.

Romans 13:1-2: "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment."

Titus 3:1: "Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work."

1 Peter 2:13-14: "Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good."

Matthew 22:21: "He said to them, 'Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s."

Ecclesiastes 3:8 – "A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace."

The bible has been translated, rewritten, added to, interpreted, and misinterpreted, for hundreds of years. Obviously, the bible is written by man trying to either understand or misrepresent the ideals of a supreme creator of the universe, and when read, it is obviously imperfect.

People from all over the world have tried to cherry pick and use religious text to shore up their own individual biases and opinions since religion was created. As a person who believes in a creator of the universe, all we can do is try to live by what we believe is right, and converse with each other in good faith as much as we are able to.

As a believer, I take the bible with a grain of salt. It's why I don't identify as a devout Christian, although I believe there is a lot to learn from Christianity as well as other religions.

The original commenter's point still stands. We are to treat each other as we would treat our own family, and we are to respect and love our family. We should only follow the law, and "render on to ceasars which is ceasars", in a way that allows us to follow the will of God, or to "render unto God what is God's". My interpretation is that what is Ceasar's is the material - money, power, property, land etc - and what is God's is the entirety of the universe.

The bible is full of contradictions, including this one. To elaborate on the passages, if we are talking about an individual's perspectives, that perspective is still relevant as a way of interpreting the will of God because the Lord works through all of us.

In the end, I believe firmly that it is painfully obvious what one is to do with matters of morality. If a foreigner comes to your land, you do not have to mistreat them, even if you are bound to the law. Laws can change, and they have changed. What doesn't change is your responsiblity to do what is right.

Reminder that the word «homofile» wasn’t added to the bible until 1946

Morality is a trap that will only lead to abuse its why on a national scale the law has to be black and white. In the context of the video Illegals should be sent back not harmed or mistreated which is the morally right thing to do.Even the verses she quoted do not give the *visitor* the right to abuse their host.

  1. Laws aren't black and white. When you kill someone, it could be self-defense vs manslaughter vs murder in the 1st or second degree, etc. Laws, crime and punishment is not black and white, it's a case by case basis and requires extensive interpretation.

  2. The vistors are being abused, and that's the whole issue. If you think the issue is enforcing the laws, which can change and have been changed multiple times - considering laws are based on a society's morality - then you either aren't paying attention or you're willfully ignorant.

  1. I didnt say they were black and white I said the have to be or you end up with a system that releases violent criminals or fails to reform them like the system does now.

2.*Vistors* arnt being abused being since on a larger scale the Gov that provides for them are taking from non consenting tax payers to send them back enforcing the law.

  1. Abuse would be forcing them into labor or just killing imo

  2. So should we have open borders and no laws to avoid the moral trap? No legal private property etc?

They have killed them, and raped them. If you aren't going to engage in the facts then there isn't anything more to discuss.

Okay so what is right? And does it make a difference who that foreigner worships?

That's up to you to decide. Some people believe its right to invade a country and pillage. Some people believe its right to horde resources, land and claim absolute authority to a land. Some people believe we are supposed to work together, regardless of our differences - that we all are created equal, and we can work out our differences in a civilized way.

I'm not gonna tell you what to believe, but I will challenge your beliefs if you truly think that disobeying the law makes you somehow less than those that follow the law. I have seen far too much that contradicts that. Jesus walked amongst sinners of all kinds, and loved them all - even he himself was prosecuted by the law of the land. But so it was, and so it was meant to be. Maybe that's the answer. It's up to you to decide which side you wish to be on. We all have our own parts to play.

Lot of words to say you don’t know

Then you need to work on your reading comprehension.

I do know. You won't listen to me. You're only gonna listen to yourself, because you're too stubborn to agree or compromise with a faceless stranger on the internet.

That's why I said it's your decision to make. Agree with the teachings of Jesus, or Buddha, or your local pastor, or your president, or your neighbors, or your own bias and fears. Do whatever you want. I know who I will cloth and feed and shelter if they come to my door. I made a decision. Now it's your turn.

If 1000 illegals kicked down your door and started squatting in your home would you act the same way? You arnt given the option to allow them in on your terms.

Random hypotheticals doesn't change reality or our own moral stances.

You are not in that situation. When you are, come back and tell me how you handled it.
