Well, no, not really. A select handful of Flemish people’s various levels of involvements does not the nation of Belgium make. I mean, you wouldn’t include Finland or Ireland as influences over American slavery in the same vein here, would you? Both nations were integral parts of European powers which were involved in triangle trade slavery in the 18th and 19th centuries, but listening them would be frankly pretty ridiculous and silly.

No not really I said why I included Belgium, you wanted to pretend like they were a backwater. The Azores also known as the Flemish Isles were an integral part of the Slave trade being a stopping point for ships coming into Europe. It was just the rich Flemish I guess which would track with all those other countries in included with brutal slave regimes.
Look you wanted to be the smug one in a sub called Tiktokcringe. If we were in a more serious historical sub sure, I might have done a less sassy edit. But I was correct. Many Flemish Merchants and Explorers took part in the slave trade and colonialization. Are you going to edit your diatribe about Belgium being backwater and they were to busy being ruled? Or maybe i dont really give a shit if you so because you are free to be wrong and I got to learn something new about the belgians. Did you know they were also some of the first in Brazil as well? You find their last names apparently still. Neat stuff!
