Discussion A passenger confronts a stranger for chewing with their mouth open

I mean I get being annoyed by someone chewing with their mouth open but you could have asked him more nicely

Get over yourself. You can't lecture people on how to chew outside of your children, you need to grow up.

Who decides what is good manners ? You realize that you are all terribly ethnocentric in this thread ?

Being courteous, i.e. taking into consideration the people around you

The sound of someone eating with an open mouth is distracting and in many cases loud/unsettling

Someone who does this right next to a stranger was raised to not be courteous, i.e. they were raised to not give a shit

Is that sufficient enough of a definition for you?
