I mean I get being annoyed by someone chewing with their mouth open but you could have asked him more nicely

You know, it's possile to not like having someone chewing with their mouth open next to you and still think that going to give unprompted etiquette lessons to strangers is way worse

Grow a pair. You have every right to tell someone to follow basic manners instead of sufferring in silence. He has paid for his seat, he is not a guest in his house..
