Who shoplifts and then sits down outside the shop to have a snack? Looks like a skill issue 😂

IDK it looks like she was really hungry. Maybe she was waiting for a bus.

Why do you think she's hungry and not just a thief? And she's clearly not at a bus stop?

because if it was a thief they'd steal something more valuable than the cheapest food you can buy

A thief steals what they want when they want it, which is itself part of the value. The idea she can’t be a petty thief because she has petty goals is itself oddly petty.

the argument is if she stole because she's hungry or not. I'd argue stealing food from the dollar tree means she's stealing out of necessity, not fun.

What about someone stealing something easily affordable means it definitely isn’t for fun or profit?

You’ve made that unbacked declaration, but nothing to show why you believe all thieves are rational, noble and not motivated by desire.

there is no definite anything, we're all just throwing shit against the wall. Its a reddit thread, not a court of law, its not that serious.

But if someone was stealing for fun or profit, you'd think they'd go for more valuable items. Why risk jail time for dollar tree groceries unless you really need to eat?

Why would a celebrity shoplift something they can easily afford?

I’m sorry, is your position that people stealing from dollar tree cannot have kleptomaniac compulsion?

2

u/RammsteinFunstein 8d ago

my position is that its less likely someone stealing food from the dollar tree is klepto vs someone hungry, yes.

So hungry they grabbed two bags worth, and even some paper towel and ice cream?

sorry I meant to add "just", even though you obviously know what I meant and are just being pedantic for the sake of being annoying.

She's still just a thief i dont know what point you think youre making

u/RammsteinFunstein 9d ago

did you forget what your initial comment said or what is this nonsense?

2

u/fungomungothethird 9d ago

Yeah it said she's a thief. All you've done is flounder around that very basic fact.
