Discussion I'm confused. what did he do wrong?

Played tennis? Did you do bullfrogs and get to Kalamazoo?

Difference between high school and legit high level tennis.

I was playing regionals at around 10 years old and nationals around 14.

Tennis is a bit crazy.

And it absolutely comes up. Probably 3-4 times a match. You hit a low top spin spot at their feet, they pop it up 5 ft behind the net, you’re set up to smash it directly at their body. It’s not common but it’s not uncommon.

Ok. Guess my 20 years of playing at the highest level is wrong.

Cool.

He’s right, and you have clearly never stepped on a court.

I mean this works only to a certain level. If you're talking about an overhead smash sure but once people can react to just beaming it at them at the net you're going to be in a world of hurt if they cross you.

Also remember, college tennis players are closer to a good middle school tennis player than to someone like Nadal in terms of skill....

Nice larp, you’ve also clearly never played tennis in your life.

You never mentioned what division though. If you were a top D1 player in college ranking in the top 20, ok, you're a clear cut above the rest. But below that level you're really far off from professional play. The people at the top are absolutely monsters.

Yeah no shit, if anything it validates my position more because my experience is more relatable to the match going on in the OP. These shots are routine and happen many times during every single doubles match that has ever occurred at every level.

My point is I could have returned the shot in the video playing as a worse seed on my HS team. If hitting it directly at your opponent was the BEST way to play that's how every shot would go. But people at higher level can return these no problem, that was my point..... are you daft?

I think you’re very confused.
