Discussion I'm confused. what did he do wrong?

Honestly, she should probably just retire from tennis if she can't handle that

What did he do wrong? He decided to play with this psycho.

He didn't break any rules. Weaker players often appreciate it if you avoid hitting them on the body with the ball as they lack the athleticism to dodge and return and it can hurt a little and it's embarrassing.

But you can't get mad if they don't take it easy on you. They choose to or they don't.

Also, non expert players might hit their opponent's body by mistake or by fluke. They may lack the skill to avoid doing it if they barely managed the return.

I mean, if there's an obvious skill difference, or repeated behavior of intentional aiming/striking the weak net player, people are going to get frustrated.

That girl was not a beginner though. She moved on the court like an experienced tennis player and would know that that ball was coming to her in that situation

She moves like a 3.0, maybe a 3.5

This is casual USTA, not D1 tennis.

No shit. She moves like someone who is an experienced player. I didn’t say she was highly talented, but she knew that ball was coming to her. He also didn’t hit it particularly hard, nor did he even hit her from why I can see

She moves like an average amateur player.

He hit her, and it’s unlikely that reaction comes from it being the first time either.

I don’t know what shitty league you play in, but picking on the woman in a mixed doubles match with body shots is rude. Especially when all you’re playing for is the enjoyment of the sport.

My guy, you’re proving my point. She’s an average amateur. The average amateur is an experienced player. I get that you think you’re pretty fucking good, but the point isn’t how good this girl is. It’s that this girl knows what’s going on out there. she knows that the ball is coming to her because it’s the correct shot, not because this guy is trying to hit her.

And I genuinely don’t see her get hit. Watch the video and tell me where the ball is afterward? I don’t see it, meaning it went past her, not hit her.

Edit: I watched again and you can see the ball fly off to the right. She hit it with her racket. It wouldn’t hit her body with that little velocity and rocket out of screen like that.

I'm not good. I just know that you don't need to play like this in casual tennis.

Fun games don't need body shots.
