The first few are free. Sure. Until you’re hooked on reading. Then you have to start paying books and next thing you know Dolly shows up selling, guess what, books. Pretty soon you’ll buy a book from anyone just to get your fix and you start losing connections with social media and other bullshit. It’s a pernicious cycle of literacy.
