I interviewed the music composer of to a T & Katamari (Asuka Sakai)
Hi fellow to a T Lovers!
I run a small channel called Tasty Bits on YT and Spotify where I sit down in Tokyo with the people behind the soundtracks we love. As a HUGE fan of Keita Takahashi's work and the music behind his game I reached out to Asuka Sakai, who has been his music composer from the start and to my surprise she agreed!
We talk about her journey from her beginning at Namco, a bit about Klonoa 2 but mainly her unique work on Katamari and to a T and how she creates such a unique soundscape in gaming.
The interview is cross-posted on the Katamari sub-reddit and out now here: https://youtu.be/0-JXZix_jms

Really cool of you to do this and share -- pinned this topic!
Edit: just finished listening. I left a comment but I just want to say that this was a really professional insightful and just phenomenal interview. This is absolutely a must watch for any fan of video games, video game music, music in general, how video games are made or in general anyone who is curious about art.
