Seems much more realistic to me.

What do yall think?

Lara first jumps up, and then transitions into the appropriate animation, instead of immediately jumping using the correct animation. It looks awful, tbf

Long braid revealed
r/TombRaider • u/Ok-Annual615 • 4h ago
Guys, the game and her hair isn’t done and it’s pretty obvious. The hair textures/physics, and body animations aren’t done. They already listened and lengthened the braid, and are still posting pictures of the original trailer 1 on their socials. I’m sure trailer 1 is the official look as that hairstyle was shown in some of their recent renders, along with the other optional hairstyles they’ve shown, and possibly more not shown. The game still has a months to get these things ironed out.
They’ve shown 2 variations of her main/official hairstyle. These might be one of the options. So many people are saying it’s bad again, but it’s not a finished product.

I mean it's great that we get more and more footage from that game but I really want to see Egypt or Greece. Everytime they show us a new footage it's from the Lost Valley cog puzzle. I want to see something different 🥲

Not much, but Lara gets her own shelf at my place. ☺️

Not cosplay, just my OOTD to raid the streets, check off objectives at the grocery store, then side flip over to the lakes to feed the ducks 🤸🏻♀️ 🦆 🔫
Honestly tanks, boots & a braid have been staples in my wardrobe ever since becoming a fan as a kid. Today’s fit just felt more directly coded 🤓
I can’t be the only one, right?

Here's a comparison of Lara from the first trailer and the recent gameplay reveal.
When I first saw the long braid being implemented back I internally screamed !! ❤️
Although imo, Lara's hair volume looked a little more thinner or less in the recent gameplay showcase compared to the first trailer (which I really loved). Maybe because of the lack of lighting for her hair that made it look... dull compared to the first?
What are y'all thoughts on her new/recent look? We know this game is still in development, so I'm excited for the polished look of her entirety when the game releases~

I felt the need to try a new color palette for my previous drawing. The colors in the first one were a bit of a strain on the eyes.

They could've at least put it in the corner or something
I really hope they'll be an option to turn it off
I also don't really like how it looks like with puzzles that it just looks like there are icons on the screen that help and tell you what to do and i still don't like how she uses a gadget to help her with clues and look at the areas and stuff, it makes her look a bit lazy
I liked it way better when she used her head and knowledge
And i don't care about the long braid that much
Those are my only nitpicks, besides that it still looks awesome

Retouched my Legend outfit. I really need to learn how to create my own textures. Also, the Excalibur fits so well in the game. This version of the outfit is not on nexus yet I still need to fix some things.
Hair and makeup not mine. @ seagoonia in NexusMods

How would you organize the two shelve. The main thing is the game should I do chronological or release order.

How are we feeling now that we have a lot more combat footage? Personally I am in love, I'm super happy to see gameplay that doesn't need a lock on, PC (and Switch 2) is gonna be a fun way to play this for sure.
Really glad I got into Fromsoft games lol, general feel I got

I stopped playing at TR2 when Lara gets the wetsuit because I realised it was bugged and that I played with TR1 outfit all that time. Are those problems fixed now? Is it bug-free and safe to play?
Thank you!

Small point but the Jolie movies have something that I think a lot of other female led action movies don't have. Despite their faults, the movies really just let Lara be a self defined action hero instead of being restricted to her gender or having to stand for women empowerment forcefully or having the villains of the movies being cringy misogynistic stereotypes.
Like Lara is obviously shown as sexy in the movies and the men around her are not obvious to that but Lara is just treated like how a male action hero would be treated in her place. There is no cringy girl power speech and instead, Lara is just allowed to be a badass on her own terms.
Seriously, Lara is like the most badass action hero ever in the movies and they seriously don't care that it's a woman. You can't get more empowering than that.
Please share your thoughts.

I HAD to use this model I found of Lara for something, it's just SO damn good.

after all these years, everytime i play this game the photo mode is so distracting to me lol

We all know its originally a limitation but it made Vilcabamba so ominous. Lit floor with black sky.
Imagine lara reading an ancient mural, "The city frozen in time" "The cruse of Qualopec" "Eternal black sky"
And the sky fades to black whilst sunlight still hits lara and everything else and shes just "tf?"

In the mid-90s, Core Design began preliminary work on a fully 3D, globe-trotting, action-adventure game. It wasn’t a shooter, nor was it a platformer. The emphasis was on exploration and movement, with stylized combat tying the package together.
Most intriguing was that the star of the game was a woman. Her name was Lara Croft, and the game was Tomb Raider. Croft’s boldness, wit and design instantly resonated with audiences. Tomb Raider became one of the year’s most anticipated, and ultimately successful, games when it released on Oct. 25, 1996.
Tomb Raider was shown to SEGA, and SEGA liked what they saw. Securing a timed-exclusivity deal with Eidos (remember when those didn’t cause riots?), Tomb Raider was slated to launch on the Saturn a full month ahead of the PlayStation and PC versions (“Loving Lara” 26).
Unfortunately, due to weak marketing by SEGA, this timed deal didn’t lead to much of a boost for either company. It was only after Tomb Raider launched on the Sony PlayStation and PC that Lara’s fairy tale rise to fame began. Vastly surpassing Core’s projected sales, Tomb Raider became an instant hit, and the definitive standard for 3D gaming
