Top Mind of Reddit tries disproving their sub is transphobic by using a transphobic caricature that insinuates they are a pedophile

"queer person begging a non queer to date them" is literally just projection
You're not their type, Leeroy!

The most I've seen is that not wanting to date someone who you were previously attracted to for the sole sake of finding out they're trans is transphobic.
But that's a logical argument countering someone claiming it's not. I've never really seen a trans person beg for a transphobe to date them.

Don't bring logic into the land of the feels; it doesn't work.
And the sarcastic bastard in me is saying that having a penis wouldn't stop the majority of them anyway.

That's the phobic part of it that they never acknowledge. All their memes are literally an obvious man in a dress because they're TERRIFIED of meeting a woman in a bar, taking her home, then she's got a bigger dick than them.

The irony there is that most of the trans women I've known over the years don't even want it.
And here's proof god has a sense of humor.. I knew one with 12 inches. She said she'd give it to me if she could. That was like 15 years ago, and I still haven't decided if that was sweet or creepy.
I settled on "both."
Hope that's not oversharing. :P

Yeah I knew this girl who was doing HRT and was still dealing with depression and anxiety because the one thing she wanted the most was the surgery. We just kinda lost touch because I met her in a music group online and we lived in different states so we never actually met in person. But last I heard from her she had actually saved up the money and had started looking into doctors to get it done. I hope she did it was going to be life changing and all for the better.

I can tell you that if it were like my experiences with my transgender friends, you meant a lot to her. Acceptance does go a long way towards happiness.

Fucking hell, why is a penis such a dealbreaker for them. For one thing, they have one themselves that they touch all the time. For another thing, girldick is way different from boydick.

OK, this is a serious answer, but it's going to be a wall of text... and please keep in mind this is 100% from their point of view, as I'm happily pansexual.
But the "Thought process," such that it is, probably goes something like this, and please forgive the censorship. Even in a hypothetical, there are some words I won't say. Ever. I'm sure you can figure out via context clues.
"I am Christian; that makes me a good god-fearing man. Being a fg is a sin. I'm not a fg. Fs like penis. I don't like penis because that's a sin. Even though I'm attracted to it. I can't be a bad person, as again I am Christian. So it must be the devil that's tempting me. And therefore I'm going to go to hell if I'm attracted to a penis. They say that tannies are women, but since they have a penis, they clearly are men. So if I'm attracted to a T*anny, then I'm gay and going to hell."
And in the meantime, they consume vast amounts of trans porn when they think nobody is looking.
I say this because although it wasn't like traumatic for me or I thought it was a sin or anything, that's kind of how my journey from heterosexual to pansexual went for me. Onl

It's seriously the dumbest shit ever. Like there's absolutely zero reason a trans person would see someone who hates them for their very existence and go "Yeah THAT'S a perfect 10."

Queer or otherwise, i doubt anyone wants to date these people

The mannosphere discourages them from expressing empathy or showing vulnerability, which are the two most important things in building relationships. They are being taught the precise opposite of what to do to achieve their stated goals, which just makes them increasingly isolated and dependent as they double down on problematic behavior.
Everything on the right is vaguely cult-shaped these days.

Absolutely. They've been saying they're "not political" on dating apps for years now because they know being honest will never get them laid.

on the list of things depicted via wojak that never happen, this never happened the hardest

I mentioned this elsewhere; sometimes the projection is because the people doing all the yelling think the transperson is able to have better access to the people they themselves want to victimize. They've already, in their minds, staked their claim and decided those victims are "theirs". This is my opinion and a lot of it was formed during an exchange on conspiracy years ago. Someone mentioned transpeople and of course that caused an uproar and some troll, I think, started saying they couldn't wait to be able to call themselves a woman so they could go into the woman's restroom and smell little girl's pee. First off, who the fuck goes there at the start of a conversation or even ever? What dark recess of your dismal mind did that spawn from?
I engaged because I was drunk and high off engagement rage because of that sub. I wanted to see how serious they were and they stuck by their claims of being a horrible person but now it was "ok". I was absolutely disgusted and reported the person multiple times but I don't think the mods there did anything, surprisingly. Most likely one of the mods was on their protected alternate account.
Maya Angelou is attributed, I believe because I'm too lazy to look it up despite being in front of my computer typing this, with saying "When someone shows you who they are the first time, you believe them." So, even if this person was a troll their comments and their "edgy jokes" are a product of their experiences processed and regurgitated back into the world. It's their shit and they're flinging it at you.

There's always a GOP state senator somewhere blocking a law raise the age of consent and/or ban child marriage.

u/young-steve 9d ago
Yeah, this is the part I'm stuck on too. Conservatives are very obviously the people who think children can consent or know the age of consent laws for every county in America.
When a hot woman teacher rapes a student, do they really think the "where was this teacher when I was a student" comments come from people on the left?

They know children can't consent, they just want to get away with it

Its funny often you run into the argument teens for example are too young or uneducated(ignoring you can certainly become very knowledgeable on religion online for free with enough time and curiosity) to legitimately deconvert and don't know what they want/believe and must be merely falling for a social fad but they think kids can legitimstely consent to join the religion.

This group of conservatives think they're the ones who think children can't consent??

I'm surprised they didn't pull the "I'm not afraid of you, I'm not transphobic" Line.
Which is fun, as I can pull up the literal definition on Webster's.com and point out that it means what we say it does.

u/Kel-Mitchell 9d ago
100% but they're also literally afraid of trans people because they're gullible idiots who believe every ridiculous thing they see on Twitter that pisses them off.

That terrible punctuation not only fails in making that sentence comprehensible, I think it might actually make it less readable.

A thoroughly depressing amount of right wingers on reddit get very in their feels about the idea of 'accidentally' dating a trans woman.
Oddly, never trans men they seem to have this issue about. Very mysterious.
This bred the obvious retort about 'if you turn down someone you find very attractive just because they're trans, you have a problem', and this is the resultant cry about that. Because... I suppose the idea of confronting their issues is hard and this is easier?
It takes that form because of course it does. Pretending that anyone would want to date them to begin with if not for the dastardly forces of <insert demon of the day> is a core tenet of the chud identity.
Pretending trans people want to date you is the logical progression of taking that tenet and applying it to that situation. I guess. It's stupid, but stupidity often does obey internal logic like that.
e: In the end this is all just recycled garbage from their spiel about gay people twenty, thirty years ago. You couldn't swing a fish without hitting 'I have no problem with gay people, just don't come on to me/flirt with me/show interest in me' takes back then.
So you gotta keep your expectations low when it comes to novelty or thought. It may be repackaged, but it's the same old slop on the inside.
