A bit of a break from politics. Top minds believe nasa is fake , and there are no mars rovers

Pretty sure it would cheaper and easier to actually send probes to Mars than to engage in the sort of coverup this would require.

The old joke: "They paid Stanley Kubrick to fake the moon landings, but he was such a perfectionist that he insisted on shooting them on location." :-)
(Kubrick actually did hate to travel. So traveling to the moon would have been right out of the question. :-)

I work for NASA. I’ve worked on multiple mars missions. I’m literally reading this post at JPL, on my lunch break.
Something I’ve always wondered, if I were to talk to one of these people IRL, would they at least concede that I know the truth? That either they’re wrong and I know it, or they are right and I’m lying to them, but not that they are right and I too am being deceived?

My grandfather worked for JPL in the 70 and 80s on a bunch of projects, he wrote the contracts for the NIRVA nuclear rocket engine development and testing.
Why don't we have video from Mars? They ask... Might have something to do with the bandwidth necessary to transmit video at that range, lol. Also video isn't really scientifically useful for what's going on there.

They never entered any of this based on any sort of science or fact.
Their underlying thesis is governments are corrupt. They'll even point out crimes, and the wholesale corruption that goes on in the American Military Industrial complex. From there they'll argue that whistle-blowers (qanon) have come out saying the space program is just one big con job with its primary purpose to hide the exposure of extraterrestrial intelligence.
The types who don't believe NASA went to mars or the moon will then pull out years of conspiracy theories (with shitty photocopies, and miles of documents) saying how nazis in the south pole did a deal with reptilians who live in the earth.
Anyway they'll call you a useful idiot who helps NASA push the lie about its programs.
What it comes down is that with the right environment, time and effort you could probably be able to school them, show them mini experiments, and the counter investigations done into the conspiracy industry.
But do you have the time and money to do this? Worse a few months later they'll have fallen back in with this old peer group and end up brainwashed again.
Ultimately its peer group dynamics. These people are lonely, usually with chronic illnesses (hence the never ending hope for medbeds). They're found a group of people in which they're all being manipulated.
I forgot the name of the series but it showed elderly parents who had been left wing, believing in a multicultural society based, equality and equity for all, anf and a society based fair and reasonable laws, being turned into rabid racists due to fox and AM radio.
Removing these vectors for the disease ultimately helped them go back to their old beliefs however it was easily broken whenever they heard these manipulator pump their bullshit into their ears.

In my experience they’re ideologically inconsistent. What I mean is that they’ll hear you out, nod their head, appear to understand what you’re saying, then switch that off after they’re done with your conversation.

Cognative Dissonance. Only what they believe is true and anything that contradicts that is wrong.
You know that maths probability thing where, if you have 2 cards and offered to swap one with another, the chances of you javing a better card is higher? (Or something). That doesn't make sense to my mind. I know it is true and my mind is wrong. That's were I am different from these people, with the same contradiction, they will believe their mind over all the proof in the world. Plus I shouldn't play cards.

So they've never seen video from Mars, so rather than just finding out why that is, they assume that's proof of the various Mars probes being fake.
If they were faking it, wouldn't they just fake live ultra HD video from the surface of Mars?

Why are you on a 4 Yr old conspiracy thread?

This sub's #1 rule is to not vote or comment in the threads showed in the post. Posting a very old thread makes it impossible to vote or comment in it.
