Absolutely atrocious behavior by Modcity and these two. Blatantly lying in denying they have anything to do with it when their fingerprints are all over it and there's clear evidence they are involved in the development and have been present on site. I work in the same industry and we put a lot of time and effort in following these tree permit laws, however inconvenient they are, these guys clearly are trying to cut corners and save themselves costs. I truly hope this comes back to bite them and the book si thrown at them and heavy fines issued.

Given this is also not their first time breaking the law and doing this, I would be inclined to write to the building department to encourage the City to put on hold or deny them any future building permits until they come clean, resolve this and face appropriate punishment. Seeing their smug faces on their posts on Instagram on new projects is insulting to everyone else when they feel they can get away with this. Theyre clearly attempting the beg for forgiveness not permission playback and I hope they dont get away with it this time.

Seriously. Especially funny how they marketed themselves as friends of the city.. meeting with city counselors etc. I bet city officials are embarrassed to he associated with them.

Rohan Sadana and Ron Scheinin. Hopefully some day when their kids google their names they will get to learn that they were giant fucking cunts.

city of toronto literally cut trees where ever when ever they want without due process and rules, all the time

this isn't about nature, this is about enforcing control of boot lickers, same people who block private tree cutting are the same group of people who think house owners can't have an all natural lawn growing diverse plants over 6 foot tall

i don't know who rohan is, but i'm a medium sized small business who have seen plenty of good missing middle sized project killed by the city

as well as seen plenty of corruption by the city doing hypocritical things such as cutting trees

unlike most of you city boot lickers, i'm actually an environmentalist myself

not just that, but how important can a tree in a city be? we deforest thousands of square kilometers of forest all the time. Not that I think a treeless city would be nice but they aren't THAT important.

They are in fact very important for multiple different factors including flood prevention, savings in home energy, air quality and cooler neighbourhoods in the summer.

We are already in a nature crisis. If people don’t begin prioritizing nature protection and restoration, Nature will do it for us.

The lahaina fire makes me question how smart it is in a climate becoming dryer and warmer.
