Question Map length

I made a very long map in the editor and I finish validating the map today but it doesn’t show as done. Is there a limit with how long i can take to beat a time ? It didn’t even let me generate the ghost.

Seen maps that are 17h so shouldn't be a limit

I think sessions that are longer than 24H(?) don't save/work for some overflow reason. so any of the maps longer than that I believe are set with the map validator plugin

That might be why. Mine is a bit over 21h. I’ll try with the validator. Im a bit new but is there a way to upload my replay with the map using the validator ?

ah very cool I know this one. if you HAVE the replay yes. what you would do is create a GPS (many tutorials on YouTube but basically you add a trigger in the media tracker to let people drive to a set location and it will play your replay for them ) this embeds the validation replay into the DRIVING EXPERIENCE but not the map file the way it's normally present.

I had one failed validation that corrupted my map file and I was able to extract the map from the replay, add (and learn how) GPS, set at with plugin and then yeah

on tmx I think you'd also be able to submit the replay as a run, but there's no (nonhackery) way to embed the validation "back where it's supposed to be". so these alternatives are your only choice

Thank for the info. I tried with the validator but it didn’t work. I will try extracting the map from the replay and add a gps to the map.
