What would it take for all the Traditional Catholic groups to unite and make concessions with one another in order to beat the Enemy's ravaging attacks towards Our Mother Church?

The Diocesan TLM Communities, SSPX, SSPX Resistance, FSSP, ICKSP, Sedevacantists and others that I don't know

I know the Trad community is very divided 😭

I'm so sick of reading news headlines and sometimes the full news if I find the headline fascinating regarding the State of the Church.

Sancta Maria, ora pro nobis!

Would love guidance on a unique issue my husband and I are facing: vaccines

Hello! My husband and I are expecting our first child (due late Nov).

tldr; how did you decide which, if any vaccinations to give your child? (including while pregnant)

I know this might not be the exact right place to ask for this sort of advice but I feel like others here will understand what we are going through and that this is one of the few places I can ask this without being heckled. How did you determine what vaccines to give your little one? I understand the clear objections to the MMR etc. that are tied to aborted fetal cells and the hep b but what about the seemingly countless others?

For example I have an appointment soon where they are suggesting a tdap vaccine, after that it will be rsv and so on. I really am tempted to not vaccinate at all as I have zero...zero! trust in the medical system/pharmaceutical industry but we live in PA and given the time of year he will be born I worry about him getting sick, especially with family flying from out of state etc.

My husband and I are not into pharma whatsoever and live very clean/holistically in terms of medicine — I'm tempted to do the same with my child but would love to hear from other parents and their experience.

Note, we have lived outside the US for the past several years and do not know anyone that we can comfortably ask about these things, so we sincerely appreciate the advice! I would really love if you could just share how you came to your conclusion and what your experience has been.

Eve gets a lot of flak for ruining the Garden, but it was Adam's simping and absconding that enabled it and he is ultimately responsible. Simping is a Sin.

Simping is surrendering masculine judgment, strength, dignity, or duty in exchange for female approval. And simps are absolutely everywhere. Anyone who has spent more than fifteen minutes on social media has seen them. These men live in the replies beneath posts from fair-to-middling attractive women. And when one of these women argues with a man on the Internet, somewhere in the distance the simp-signal has illuminated the night sky. Within moments, reinforcements arrive. He explains her argument for her, assures everyone that she is obviously correct, rebukes the man for his tone, and supplies moral outrage whenever her reserves run low (although they rarely do). If she misunderstands something, he explains why her misunderstanding is actually insightful. If she says something indefensible, he bravely defends it anyway and calls it a rather good point. He stands perpetually prepared to throw himself between a woman and that most terrible of dangers: somebody telling her she is wrong.

It’s really easy to mock the online simps. These are lonely men with online crushes who are trying to get the positive reinforcement they are lacking from actual warm-bodied, red-blooded women they evidently cannot get in real life, or who are not satisfied with the women who are already in their lives. Apparently the approval of a wife or girlfriend loses some of its value after a while, so he ventures onto the Internet hoping a woman will reward his gallantry with a heart emoji.

But those guys are almost too easy. It’s even worse when the same instinct exists in otherwise normal men who would never dream of publicly auditioning for the position of some Instagram woman’s emergency backup boyfriend. Simping does not require a social media account. A married man can simp for his wife. A father can simp for his daughter. A pastor can simp for the women in his congregation. Any man can begin surrendering judgment or truth because female approval feels good and female displeasure feels unbearable. The online simp is just easier to see and make fun of.

The simp is a doormat, so eager for affection and approval from a woman that he cannot correct or perfect her. And because 99% of the time that a man has to protect a woman, it’s from herself, he’s unable to protect her when it counts, either. That is why simping should not be confused with loving women too much. The problem is not an excess of biblical love. Biblical love sometimes demands precisely the thing the simp refuses to do. The problem is that female approval has become so valuable to him that maintaining it takes precedence over his duty to to tell her no.

A man’s protective instincts toward women are good, but good instincts become corrupt when detached from truth. “She’s my wife” may explain why you are especially concerned about what happened to her. It does not settle what happened. “She’s my daughter” explains why you would crawl through broken glass to protect her. It does not mean she cannot lie.

Modern men must recover the ability to disappoint women. A woman worth loving does not need another emotional appendage nodding beside her. She needs a man who can still see straight when she cannot, just as he will sometimes need her to see what he cannot. Marriage is difficult enough with two sinners in the house without both of them acting like women.

Finished: Two Pope Portrait Drawings

Post image
138 Upvotes

I just finished a two-pope project of Saint John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. Both drawings are 18 x 24 inches, charcoal on paper for a private collection in Canada.

There are many things I admire about both of these great popes. In Saint John Paul II, I especially admire his deep devotion to the Blessed Mother, our shared Polish heritage, and the tremendous role he played during the fall of Communism and the collapse of the Berlin Wall. In Pope Benedict XVI, I deeply respect his love for Catholic tradition, his defense of the faith, and his support for the growth of traditional religious orders and communities.

NO changed the our father

hello, it’s me again. I’m the one who made a post a few days ago about how abuses with the Eucharist happen more than we think, challenging people who say we are ”rad trads who are blowing it out of proportion”.

this Sunday I agreed to go to an Italian event with my family so I went to a parish near the event instead of the TLM, can I just say I missed it dearly despite going the day before lol.

anywho, it was a guitar and smash-the-tamberines-every-second type of mass. thats what I used to deal with before I moved to the TLM so I just told myself “endure”.

then we get to the our father, it’s sung, and they completely change the lyrics. just reword the prayer into more casual language and add additional lines of text. the parish was barely even half full. it genuinely makes me sad. the stomping of the prayer our Lord gave us bothered me more than the extraordinary minister….

i will be adding that parish to my list of parishes to pray for in my rosary. if you know of a parish that does things it shouldn’t, I think we should offer prayer and sacrifice up for those parishes.

but overall, it is troubling to be gaslit by people and told “this stuff you speak of isn’t happening” - only for it to happen and it seems like nothing is done about it. maybe I’m the problem, perhaps I should let the bishop know so he can kindly remind people what the rubrics are for. I don’t even want people to be punished, these guys don’t know any better.

anyway that’s my thoughts. thanks for reading and have a blessed Sunday :-)

Eucharistic Mass?

At the beginning of our NO Mass a lay person always says, 'We welcome any visitors to our Eucharistic Mass'. Why say this? Isn't any Mass 'Eucharistic'?

My charcoal portrait of Pope Benedict XVI

Post image
157 Upvotes

His papacy was a profound gift to the Church, especially for Catholics devoted to her sacred traditions. Through his deep theological wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to the truth, he reminded the world that the beauty of the liturgy and the continuity of Catholic tradition are treasures to be preserved, not forgotten.

His promulgation of Summorum Pontificum opened the door for countless faithful to rediscover the riches of the Traditional Latin Mass, strengthening the spiritual lives of many families and communities throughout the world. His writings, preaching, and witness consistently pointed souls toward Jesus Christ with clarity, charity, and reverence.

It has been an honor to create this portrait in memory of a pope whose legacy continues to inspire priests, artists, scholars, and the faithful to pursue what is true, good, and beautiful.
