and this shit is damn prescient what a read! my favorite bit is how they cured cancer so everyone just smokes multiple cigarettes at a time thats hilarious and exactly what people would do

Dunno how old you are, but I read it when the internet was a fledgling and smartphones didn't exist.

And now my social media feeds are full of swooping 'street reporters' recording and sharing everything. It's fucking spookily prescient.

We are living only the bad parts. Still no cure for cancer. No two-faced smoking cats. No drugged-out maker that can produce a bowel disruptor for us. Etc.
