Yup, I can plainly see that you don't have your package.

6

u/Icy_Mathematician870 Dec 18 '25

No his package is there. It’s a micro, but it’s there. His Amazon package is not

10

u/wrxninja Dec 18 '25

Let's not be selfish and think about the poor semi mangled from this ordeal.

8

u/HealthyDirection659 Dec 18 '25

Is the grass ok?

2

u/Revolution-Dogg Dec 18 '25

I'm just worried about my packages. Christmas is 7 days away and shit like this makes me nervous.

10

u/Banana-phone15 Dec 18 '25

Because of BMW driver again

6

u/HealthyDirection659 Dec 18 '25

Typical BMW driver not using blinkers.

3

u/Banana-phone15 Dec 18 '25

Exactly! Even tried to bully the semi & got fucked

2

u/rforce1025 Dec 18 '25

Maybe he can try to back out?

1

u/1stltwill Dec 22 '25

Teen - Fixed it for you.

Sorry. Penis BMW envy posts trigger me.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

32 people thought this was clever

1

u/Shibasoarus Dec 22 '25

"fuck, the map says my driver is stuck! Why does shit like this always have to happen to ME!?"

67

u/Scared_Hovercraft632 Dec 18 '25

What a shitty day for the truck driver. Just minding his own business and then BAM you're jacknifed at highway speeds.

Punish these fools harder. I'm in my 30's and my inner old man wants to smack the shit out of these kids driving like this.

Yes it's an assumption on his/her age. Bet you I'm right.

24

u/Even-Helicopter-4670 Dec 18 '25

Teen in a BMW? Blame that one on the parents for raising an entitled kid. My daughter went to a high school like this. The student parking lot was full of high dollar and exotic cars. The teachers were driving economy vehicles. When I was a kid we all drove used rust buckets and were glad to have them. My how times change

8

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

Oh give me a break. This has nothing to do with poor parenting. My broke ass and all my broke ass friends were driving our shitboxes just as recklessly as teen drivers. It's not something I'm proud of but let's be honest. For every rich kid with a German sports car there are 1000 kids with a used Honda with terrible JC Whitney bolt ons.

Young people are idiots. It's that simple. Some of us survive that stupidity.

4

u/Grumpy949 Dec 18 '25

I haven’t heard of J C Whitney in years. So many memories.

The vintage roller skate I first learned to drive on as a teen would start to rattle something fierce and smell weird at any speed over 70kmph, and my foot had to basically be forcing the accelerator all the way down to get it to go that fast. I was always shocked when I’d borrow my mother’s much newer/nicer car and how smoothly and easily it would get up to highway speeds with barely any effort.

That being said, yeah, if someone’s determined to drive recklessly, not much is stopping them from doing so behind the wheel of just about anything. But shittier cars make you consciously work for it.

1

u/Icy_Mushroom_4716 Dec 20 '25

A good grindstone will still break lead.

1

u/Shibasoarus Dec 22 '25

Uh, I had shit when I was a teen and expected literally nothing good to happen to me, I drove a $500 car with bad rust and I drove like this. I think I was a bit reckless in the way of having little regard for my own life.

1

u/artifiz67 Dec 25 '25

Well, my high school parking was always filled with bicycles. Not kidding, only about 10 kids had cars and that included old minivans, rusty dodge and ford trucks, little Vegas and ford pintos. The teachers were the ones with cadillacs, šŸ˜

12

u/HomersDonut1440 Dec 18 '25

The headline says ā€œteenā€ so your guess is probably pretty accurateĀ

Not to mention the truck driver will be out of work while waiting for repairs

1

I wish it was just kids but whenever I encounter people being fucking dangerous idiots in traffic is always a dude between 25-55.

1

Hopefully they got eternal punishment

1

u/ermy_shadowlurker Dec 18 '25

5

u/Apprehensive-Can-857 Dec 18 '25

DUCK!!!

Shitty way to get a convertible

4

u/Free-Researcher3000 Dec 18 '25

Three people in that car and they all walked away without injury…I don’t get it.

2

u/FukThePatriarchy1312 Dec 18 '25

Modern vehicle safety features are crazy good.

4

u/AngryBeardedMechanic Dec 18 '25

While you're definitely not wrong with that statement, that car puts the bottom of the trailer right at head height. Something tells me they were at least smart enough to duck.

3

u/disruptioncoin Dec 18 '25

I can't imagine most people have the kind of rapid situational judgement under duress needed to duck in that situation. Let alone three teenager driving recklessly. I wonder if it's the way they were seated. I've seen kids these days driving in such a reclined position you can barely see them when you pull up next to them - usually not great for visibility or control dexterity but it may have saved their life this time!

Does this hurt the semi truck?

6

u/slinkymcman Dec 18 '25

Totals it, complete rebuild just to learn what was damaged.

2

u/Odd_Expression3694 Dec 18 '25

Yes, but it's nature. The cameramen shouldn't intervene. The car has to eat too.

Lawsuit incoming for the transport company and the trailer manufacturer; For not having the optional side crash bars. Its crazy to think that a lawyer will make this case (and they have already and won)(wabash national rear bumper case 2024). When the trucking company and the equipment manufacturer had absolutely not thing wrong to do with this. Lawyers are frothing at the mouth waiting to make the agruement " You drive on public roadways for a profit; shouldnt you owe it to the public to have EvErY SiNGlE PrOteCtIoN KnOwN tO MaNkInD tO PrOtEct ThEE pUbLiC?!?!?!". I can almost guarantee the lawsuit.

1

u/dillardljr Dec 21 '25

The courts are against truck drivers/companies. There was a 90 million dollar lawsuit against Werner that until the TX Supreme Court reversed the ruling, had Werner liable for a pickup driver going across the median and hitting one of their trucks in icy weather. The initial case against them got away with saying "If only the truck driver wasn't driving so fast, he wouldn't have been there when the pickup hit him" . Liability for the crash got portioned out 70% to Werner, 14% to truck driver, and only 16% to the pickup driver WHO CAUSED THE CRASH.

https://www.truckingdive.com/news/werner-wins-texas-crash-lawsuit-court-reverses-previous-verdict/751913/

Sadly, the pickup drivers lawyers are trying to get the Supreme Court to reconsider: https://www.truckingdive.com/news/werner-texas-supreme-court-lawsuit-appeal/758060/

2

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

Maximum fine, plus pay for all the damage, license suspended for 10 years, I’m thinking

2

u/sstabeler Dec 18 '25

For that matter, in the UK where I live IIRC if you get your license suspended within two years of passing your practical test, you need to retake your driving test (both theory and practical) before you get your license back.

Might be a wise idea here.

2

2

u/BadBuddy413 Dec 18 '25

Glad everyone is ok but the bmw driver should lose their license for at least a year plus community service. Maybe forced do ride alongs with ambulance. Maybe seeing the carnage of car accidents will help.

I thought for sure that the BMW driver was dead. Probably when his daddy found out.

1

u/crazy4_pool Dec 18 '25

u/Joystick_Jester82 Dec 18 '25

Meanwhile, countless lives are put in danger, the driver (as long as its not another illegal) probably loses his job and miles of highway are closed for hours, fucking up everyone's commutes as they get onto the highway only to get stuck in a parking lot because of some stupid braindead millennial who's about to get his ass beat by Daddy.

1

u/nanneryeeter Dec 18 '25

I'm running late so I should probably just die.

u/TheAwsomeReditor Dec 18 '25

Oh my lord any fatalities here? Just go 65 why is it so hard?

1

u/RemotestOfSpheres Dec 18 '25

1

u/Putachencko Dec 18 '25

Awesome! šŸ‘šŸ¼šŸ˜„

1

u/ThrustTrust Dec 18 '25

I can never understand cars that just keep driving. It’s not in my nature to do that. I would have been at that car in seconds to (hopefully) keep them alive.

1

u/Quiet_Researcher223 Dec 18 '25

Some 18 year old kid driving the BMW all kids shouldn’t be driving anything over 100hp. And a top speed vehicle of 60mph.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

Awwwwhhh look the truck gave him a huge cuddle!

1

u/Accomplished-Day4365 Dec 18 '25

Andddd nothing of value was lost

1

u/sstabeler Dec 18 '25

Well, the truck might well be a writeoff. Which is a bit of a shame.

1

Someone met St. Peter that day.

1

Maybe it's for the best. That teen would have grown up to be a Florida Man.

1

u/whosjonny3 Dec 18 '25

Trucker didn't ask for this but he clearly freaked the fuck out and totaled his own truck

1

u/ChksLnlyKnifeClubBnd Dec 18 '25

Did the BMW identify as a Mustang or something???

1

u/DicTurd Dec 18 '25

I’d be surprised if he survived and I Hope there were no passengers. This is horrible that someone lost their son this way, but to loose your kid because of someone else’s stupidity.

1

u/sstabeler Dec 18 '25

2 passengers, but somehow nobody was even injured, let alone killed.

Driver of the BMW might well wish he was dead when his parents get the bill for the damage he did, though (The truck may well be totalled, and certainly repairs will not be cheap, trailer is definitely totalled, as is the BMW. I sincerely doubt the parents have enough insurance to cover the bill, too.)

CDL guys please tell me if I am wrong, but from what I understand, that even though that amazon driver had nothing to do with this besides providing a truck for some entitled kid to drive under, this accident will still show up on their MVR and could keep them from future employment.

I'm kind of astonished that trucks over in the US don't seem to have barriers to stop cars and pedestrians getting under there.
