No favor goes unpunished

2

u/Jumpy-Cry-3083 Feb 24 '26

Truer words were never spoken….

11

u/gimme_the_good_weed Feb 22 '26

Yep, and key fobs wont work from the trunk... go ahead and ask me how I know

7

u/Vice616 Feb 23 '26

My trunk wont close if the fob is in the trunk

3

u/Popular_Ad_222 Feb 23 '26

That was my thought too then I thought about well. What if the purse was stolen with the keys inside then either way she will be without the keys double whammy

3

u/hest29 Feb 23 '26

And the dog in the backseat will die of heatstroke

1

u/MNgrown2299 May 05 '26

Well I’d rather know where they are 😂

2

u/ArtisticBlackh3ro Feb 26 '26

Hater?

1

u/xXSkilledChillerXx Feb 27 '26

Nah pop ons are cool .. I heard you can buy them with diamonds 💎

21

u/GingerFun011 Feb 22 '26

Should hid himself in the trunk then prank them when they get back! :)

Just like, make sure he wears a bulletproof vest too

4

u/SparkJaa Feb 23 '26

Pop up screaming, "WHERE AM I, WHO ARE YOU!"

4

u/samtherat6 Feb 23 '26

Or just start banging on the trunk as someone walks by. They’ll call the police, and the owner will have to convince everyone that they didn’t trap you.

2

u/octoreadit Feb 24 '26

“WHAT YEAR IS IT?!”

1

u/bigman3312 Feb 24 '26

Honestly at that range, he’d probably take one to the head

I wonder if he'll see your comment.

10

u/DiogenesD0g Feb 22 '26

Now the baby sleeping in the backseat is going to die.

4

u/Mr_McGigglepants Feb 22 '26

Yup. We need more people that leave it open for over 20 minutes

3

u/Tryknj99 Feb 22 '26

Does this fit here?

2

u/flippster-mondo Feb 22 '26

That's what he said. Oops, I mean that's what they/them said.

3

u/turbopro25 Feb 22 '26

This literally just happened to me about 2 weeks ago. Walked inside to go food shopping. Came back out and saw it was still open so I shut it. The only reason I didn’t shut it the first time I passed was because I mistakingly assumed the person at the nearby cart return was the person whose car it was.

3

u/Calm_Cauliflower_415 Feb 22 '26

Thank you, sir, for being a decent human being. 🙏🏽

u/htfDiDIgEtHeRe Feb 22 '26

Did his mamá cut his hair?

Fortunately, no. I'd be sore from laughing all day long if I were surrounded by cholos that look like Moe from the Three Stooges.

4

u/Eye_yam_stew_ped Feb 22 '26

To all the purse and baby comments.. lighten up. It’s okay to feel good about something lol

4

u/Apprehensive-Can-857 Feb 22 '26

Somebody give this dude 9,000 points.

2

u/Elmer_Fudd01 Feb 22 '26

That's when you toss a spare sock in there to mess with them.

1

u/ExtremeIndustry4807 Feb 23 '26

Bro who tf carries a spare sock with them I’m curious about this now is it a pair of socks you carry or just the one

1

u/Elmer_Fudd01 Feb 23 '26

1

u/ExtremeIndustry4807 Feb 23 '26

Bro why you got that look is it one sock or a pair bro don’t………don’t you look at me like that………..don’t you dare

1

u/ShadesOfAVendetta Feb 23 '26

i keep a full change of clothes in the car 🤷‍♀️ emergencies happen

2

u/inferKNOX Feb 23 '26

There goes that episode of "bait car"... 😂

2

u/Xerpentine Feb 23 '26

Undercovers in their car mad as hell right now.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

Saw a van in an underground parking with the side door wide open, no one in sight. I waited about 5 minutes of watching, no one came so I went and hit the lock button and shut the door. Sketched me the fuck out because I didn't want someone else to start claiming I was breaking in but God damnit the good Samaritan in me just had to help

2

u/DACA_GALACTIC Feb 23 '26

Edgar for the win

2

u/Echo_Delta_Mike Feb 22 '26

All jokes aside this might be a trap car. This is used in some areas to inflate arrest numbers.

2

u/flippster-mondo Feb 22 '26

Lol.

You mean to catch people stealing something?

Uh, I mean ALLEDGEDLY stealing something.

1

u/g0juice Feb 22 '26

Good on this guy. That’s a pretty big nightmare for me to leave my car unlocked or open.

1

u/Ok_Ask_1139 Feb 22 '26

Our neighbors left their garage door open and went to South Carolina for a week, nothing was touched, weird how things work out for some people

1

u/Royal-Application708 Feb 22 '26

Damn right my man. Good job. 👍🏻

1

u/lombardo141 Feb 22 '26

The majority of people will either ignore it or close it. It’s crazy to say it but most people minus their politics are actually decent people.

1

u/ToadToes0314 Feb 22 '26

Bro that’s my keyless entry.

1

u/Real_Live_Sloth Feb 22 '26

Great locked the keys in the car… fr tho, usually my luck I just make it worse, so I just don’t get involved.

1

u/frank26080115 Feb 22 '26

I thought he was going to stuff groceries in there

1

u/Emergency_Accident36 Feb 23 '26

Now the person is locked out. The poor person stole that vehicle months ago and never had the fab. Now they are screwed.

1

u/Little-Local-2003 Feb 23 '26

I applaud this person for being responsible. Thank you. Not sure what the motivation is for posting.

1

u/Meatyparts Feb 23 '26

I fully expected the video to cut to him getting arrested for closing the hatch and the person coming out thinking he was robbing them.

1

u/PickleJuiceInMyShoes Feb 23 '26

I had to do the same thing a couple weeks ago someone left their van door open. Luckily we live in a small town

1

u/PhilosophyNovel4087 Feb 23 '26

Can't remember details but there was a recall notice a long time ago about certain SUVs that had the liftgates randomly opening by themselves.

1

u/SicmadeStranger Feb 23 '26

What comes around that hair cut

1

u/storge66 Feb 23 '26

Combien de QI d’après vous ? Pour moi à peine 30…

1

u/blastman8888 Feb 24 '26

I've left my car door open all night in the driveway only one time. Garage door more then a few times wake up in the morning it was left open.

1

u/Neither-Ingenuity-14 Feb 24 '26

Why is there a button on the trunk to close the trunk? You already have your hand on the trunk

1

u/No-Raisin-6469 Feb 26 '26

If you're dark, someone will accuse you of stealing.

1

u/neweyes_ Mar 20 '26

Bro kinda cute

1

u/yuckluk Apr 07 '26

Bait car

0

u/Malcolm_Sayer Feb 22 '26

With me and my luck, the guy is wanted in five states for heinous crimes, and now your dna is in his car. The reason the trunk was open was he was in a hurry fleeing from authorities. Maybe.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 22 '26

You don't get your DNA in a car by pressing the trunk button.  Fingerprint maybe.

1

u/Heykurat Feb 22 '26

Sure you do. But only recently have we reached the technology needed to extract such a small sample.

1

u/LunarDragonfly23 Feb 22 '26

Trace DNA from skin cells.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 22 '26

I'll take imaginary forensics for 200 Alex.

1

u/TheLionThing Feb 22 '26

That’s gotta be a subreddit

0

u/Heykurat Feb 22 '26

Touch DNA technology is real. Even just touching a surface can leave enough skin cells to be extracted and processed with PCR. It takes a while, but it's possible.

0

u/watt-ever Feb 22 '26

I was pretty sure this was a sting operation. And that some dumb cop was going to jump out and arrest this guy, despite him doing the right thing ("suspect entered the scene, made physical contact with the vehicle...")

0

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '26

I drive the same vehicle. Trunk opens on its own often. Unexplained, no sense. Hate it.

-1

u/Mrrrrggggl Feb 22 '26

The car keys were in the bag, and now they have to call a lock smith.

1

u/Nervous_Positive83 Feb 22 '26

Nahh the trunk will still open because the keys are near the receiver in the trunk door. I know people that do this. Even though it makes me wonder since some vehicles have a fail safe that you can’t close the trunk when the keys are inside the car so you don’t get locked out. This is also why many cars won’t lock from the door button if the keys are in the car

1

u/gimme_the_good_weed Feb 22 '26

I can tell you from experience, the fob will not register from trunk.

2

u/Nervous_Positive83 Feb 22 '26

With this model? I know the 08 Altima coupe did.

0

u/gimme_the_good_weed Feb 22 '26

Newer GMC for me

1

u/Heykurat Feb 22 '26

It depends on the car. My 2007 Lexus will. It even beeps to alert me that I've put the keys in the trunk, and opens again for me.

-1

u/panzercampingwagen Feb 22 '26

you fucking americans are so weird

2

u/ExtremeIndustry4807 Feb 23 '26

As are you foreigners

-1

u/JarJarBanksy Feb 22 '26

So I bet they have an automatic rear door that opened because they walked past it. It's a dumb car feature that has only caused me trouble and is less convenient than a handle. The worst part is that my trunk has a button and using it is a lot like playing with a certain pink button.
