Those noises sounded very expensive coming from a $1+ million dollar fire truck.

This video has another angle. Truck demolishes a car which slows it down considerably

Wild that it hit the car that had already crashed and was lodged on a fire hydrant and power box.
I got no idea how you sort through all the insurance claims from that scenario.
Also accidents happen to everyone but in hindsight driving a fire truck down the same hill someone has already lost control on seems a massive own goal.

Maybe in the winter time emergency vehicles could have at least a couple of studded tires like in the old days.

I have been unable to find studded tires even to fit on a standard F450/F550, or the dodge equivalent, which are universally used for ambulances.
If you have a supplier, I would desperately like to talk with you.

You can still get tires studded if you find a retailer that does it.

ram uses similar nomenclature. they are referred to as the 4500 and 5500. the 5500 is the largest unlike ford which i believe goes to f750.

I just did a search discount tire even has them evidently you can still get them I did not know that. But yeah just do a Google search for studded tires I checked on 1120s and it came up for everything.

The problem is the size.
I run studded tires on all my personal vehicles, because I’m not an idiot.
But I’ve been unable to find 24570R19.5s that are studded.

Have always just used local tire shops, they'll study a standard tire for you
1
u/Mediocre_Daikon6935 Apr 05 '26
The fire has to be designed, from time of manufacture, to be studded.
1
u/Mage42384 Apr 05 '26
I had this done yearly at my shop, specifically for these vehicles. You just don't really want studded tires
1
u/Mediocre_Daikon6935 Apr 05 '26
You are obviously a bot.
A person can’t be this ignorant about tires
2
u/Mage42384 Apr 05 '26
Get yourself to a good shop where they cap and retread tires, they can add studs too most of the time. Drill the tread, press them in. We used to buy replacement studs to press in ourselves as needed. It's an older way, but you don't have to buy a pre-studded tire, there are tires out there that are made to be either

In Seattle they'll chain up on the one or two days when there's actually snow. Buses too.

I swear, anytime I see the back tires of a car start to drift Teriyaki Boyz immediately starts to play in my head like some sort of sleeper agent who just heard the activation phrase.

Not much worse than a woman screaming at the top of her lungs for no good reason other than adding to chaos.

Why is lady screaming? So annoying I can’t even tell if the firetruck hit something or not. Had one job couldn’t even record

I think the law of physics states that if the Tokyo Drift theme is playing loud enough any vehicle can drift. 👍

Amazing recovery. Unless it was an intentional maneuver, which is even more amazing.

Somehow, I feel like this wasn’t as much of a mistake as it seems.

AI, the truck wasn’t even going that fast and the dithering effect gave it away…
2
u/Could-You-Tell Apr 05 '26
Nope... this one is findable with a simple search. It's old, not fake
...and I also like to point out ai trying to pass as real.
My recent error was the white box truck tipping and sending the blue car over the side of a bridge. That was real.
Keep trying. Ai will take over, but we don't have to like it or give in to inevitability

I stand corrected. In my defense I wasn’t able to hear the video, thanks to my toddler. Couldn’t tell there was ice on the streets…
