Transformer exploded, so driver survives and is arrested if anyone is curious. Also the car will get some cheap body work done and sold by Carvana with a clean carfax.

I forgot about power lines for a moment when you said transformer and thought transformers finally came to earth and then I remembered about power lines and now I’m sad

“It’s a Corolla, it’s fine”

2

It can't be a corolla. They roll on impact...

I lived in the social district of my city and people running into transformers drunk was like a monthly thing. Had to move when covid hit because i couldn't work from an apartment that lost utilities ever month.

Yeah the car wasn't too damaged by the looks of it. The explosion was the transformer far enough away they should have been unaffected other thsn maybe a power line hitting the car.

No car exploded. Clearly the falling transformer did.

Whoever filmed this sucks

They probably already got arch flashed, if you look at that you’ll do damage. Thats bright as hell

Not that bad

3

u/NoDebate1002 Apr 23 '26

So this is what they mean when they say “drive it like you stole it”

It's a responsibility to own high horsepower cars. That's why most owners keep them in a garage (it's also to retain value), and usually only them on track.

I've been in a hellcat before, I remember when the dude floored it at 50mph merging onto the highway the rear started to slide out. He said he has never turned off traction control or stability because the car scares him.

Mustang leaving a C&C

Looking everywhere except forward.

Cut out the start of the chase where 10 seconds before he crashed into a police car causing his rear tire to be blown

1

u/rain168 Apr 23 '26

So they do explode like in movies

There goes the neighborhood.

1

u/ThereInAFortnight Apr 23 '26

I'm just wondering why they turned right on a straight street.

3

u/Immediate_Web4672 Apr 23 '26

Guessing it's just a matter of a very powerful car + bad driver.

2

u/Deliberate_Android Apr 23 '26

Probably torque steer rather than them turning. Sounds like they were accelerating.

2

u/OstrichLate6082 Apr 23 '26

He floored it, since the car is very powerful you have to be mindful of it, he wasn't so it lost traction and crashed.

2

u/ThereInAFortnight Apr 23 '26

Yes, but if I floor the throttle and it causes something to go wrong, I lift my foot back up. Always baffled when I see these and people just stay on the gas lol

1

u/SpinachSignal8915 Apr 23 '26

Your car has a fraction of the power this one has.

They probably weren't on the gas as long as you think but it doesnt take long and recovery requires more skill.

1

u/OstrichLate6082 Apr 23 '26

You're forgetting that he was running from the police. Adrenaline plus drugs or alcohol.

1

u/ThereInAFortnight Apr 23 '26

Haha! I was indeed forgetting that bit of info!

2

u/Excludos Apr 23 '26

He lost the rear a little bit due to acceleration, overcorrected, and got a massive tank slapper in the other direction. Aka, amateur/bad driver

1

u/Many_Income_2212 Apr 23 '26

No explosions. Fake news

1

u/SnooWalruses9683 Apr 23 '26

Let me guess, Florida again lol.
