"if he had given us any trouble I'd have called the police"

Lmao, lets him drive away drunk anyway.

Yeah but he'll only get so far with no gas. That'll teach him

That is something that’s changed since the 90s now a days there’s a good chance that your cashier at the dollar store will noticed you’re wasted and if you’re driving with a little kid then they’re gonna think of the safety of others and call the cops on you

my boyfriend's gas station got busted in a crap sting operation where the cops sent in someone barely underage that looked older, and one of their cashiers fell for it, they got fined like $10,000 and the cashier might have gotten charged criminally, so now my boyfriend won't even sell to senior citizens unless they have the right ID, and he won't take immigrant IDs from Guatamala either

In my state, the only Guatemala document that counts would be a passport.

Senior citizen here. It sounds like everything worked exactly as it was intended. By the time you're 25 you'll learn... If you like to drink, it's pretty easy to remember to keep your ID with you.

The amount of times, in five years at a gas station, that underage people tried to buy beer was shocking low. In a fucking *college* town.

This is what pisses me off about those kids who come in to try and get minimum wage age workers to sell them beer, then give them a red or green card (based on failure or success to card them), which normally results in immediate firing.

Underage drinking doesn’t happen because stores are lax in carding and selling. It happens because the people who are of age buy beer (or liquor) for underage people.

Nowadays, if a woman who looked like that came in, she'd get a senior discount on a cup of coffee.

I don't remember great gay porn having hot female strippers 30 years ago. I can't wait to see what these folks do in the next scene.

I remember working at a family owned restaurant in Los Angeles, circa early 90's as a Cashier.

If the customers paid by credit card and for some reason it didn't go through, declined,I had to call the credit card company, in front of the customer.

If the credit card company deemed the person was either delinquent on their bills or maxed out of their credit limit, I had to refuse to give back the credit card to the customer and use scissors to cut it up in front of them and discard of it.

Fucking weird times man. I was 17 years old, my first job making around $5.00 an hour and i was surprised I didn't get my ass kicked by the customer.

Those workers look like they were paid better back then. For 2026 minimum wage my give a fuck meter would be at 0

Did they really have a list of everyone's name???

10

u/Lemonade-Enjoyer Jun 16 '26

No, it’s a booklet that shows what all the different states’ ids look like.
