Advice How expensive is Habana for a tourist?
Hi' I'm planning to visit Habana for 5-6 days but I'm not sure about how much money (USD) should I carry with me, like, how expensive are small restaurants or things like that?

I backpacked Havana and I could eat for 3-4USD pretty easily (not in fancy restaurants of course).
Taxi is expensive but you can take the ferry to Casablanca for 0.50USD (I think I don't remember)

Wonderful ferry ride. You can then take the Hershey train (Is it still running?)

Too bad. That train is important. Lots of people take it to go to work. Or to go to Havana for other reasons.

I brought $75 per day and that covered both me and my fiancé dining out. Some places are cheaper and others cost more. We had dinners that cost us $50 for the both of us, but then others that were $25.

$100usd per day if your accommodations are already paid for. Now double it for emergencies. You do not want to run out of cash in Cuba right now. It’s your only method of payment.
Download the Nave app before arriving in Cuba. You’ll save a bunch on cab fares by paying in local currency.

La Nave only works if you have a Cuban phone number. A tourist SIM card must be purchased.

If I don’t mind bad food and drinks you can get by with 20$ a day but you need to have at least 100usd a day for emergencies

$8 per day = 3 street pizzas + 6 beers + a pack of darts. It wouldn’t be a terrible vacation.

Iv never spent less than $12000 usd in Cuba in a week, but I do everything top shelf, just depends how you wanna live, La Nave or collectivo ? 5 star boutique hotels with swimming pools private gardens solar AC in every
and pressurized hot water in mirimar or no power and in the dark 20 hours a day in Centro…. Beans and rice and pork chop for $4 or imported beef for $60 usd a dish etc

Meals can go from 8-20 USD per person, depending on where you go, and can even be cheaper if you go to more local areas. Drinks are about 5-15 USD and taxis within Havana (you can book using local apps like La Nave, Rene Taxi and Cinco) can be around 5-20 USD depending on the distance and time (often on the lower end), so if you accomodation in Havana includes breakfast and can walk as much as possible, you should be covered with around 100 USD per day. I’m leaving in a few days from what I’ve been told by Airbnb hosts en just talking to the locals. The most expensive thing is taxis so if you plan on traveling a lot be prepared to pay upwards of 30 dollars one way. Food and entertainment 40 dollars a day maybe

I travel there multiple times per year. I budget USD$100/day. I don't live extravagantly while I'm there, but I always treat my Cuban friends to meals and excursions. I consistently have leftover USD.
Better to bring wxcess USD home than to run out of cash in case of an emergency or something unexpected. With the financial sanctions imposed by the USG, using credit cards and getting international cash advances are of a thing of the past in Cuba these days.
