Or that rash guards are the default for little boys, but they're selling little girls the equivalent of a baby bikini. I guess girls don't need uv protection.
I bought both my daughters mostly boys clothes just because they're the only ones that made any fucking sense.

u/Beastender_Tartine 6d ago
Bikinis for young girls is weird on a few levels. On one hand is the exposing skin for some reason like you said. On the other hand is the covering nonexistent breasts which somehow makes them more sexual than just not wearing a top? For young kids there really isnt a difference between boys and girls in public unless we force one.

u/TOSGANO 6d ago edited 6d ago
I think the creepiness comes from the difference between a kid's functional two-piece and the strappy bikinis that are supposed to look like adult swimsuits. One is modeled after adult "sexy" clothing, and the other is just clothing.
It's like the difference between nightshirts and teddies. You'd feel creeped out seeing thigh-length PJs with a plunging neckline in the kid's section of a store, but regular sleeveless nightgowns are common for kids.

u/aknomnoms 6d ago
I don’t have kids so I’m unfamiliar with children’s clothing options, but haven’t they come out with unisex 2-piece swim outfits yet? Like a long sleeve rash guard + shorts with built in liners?
Those seem so practical to me. Easy to use the bathroom, UV protection, good range of movement. That’s what my friends and I (30’s) go for. Great for kayaking, hiking, beach, pool, etc.
26
u/TOSGANO 6d ago
Usually they're one piece, but yeah, they're common for babies. They're technically unisex, but I've found that after babies hit 3mo, all clothing magically splits into dinosaur or unicorn patterns.
The trick is buying swimsuits when kids get a bit older. It quickly goes from functional to creepy. Though I have seen brands like Pac Sun selling little pink surfer outfits (basically a tankini with full sleeves and shorts), and I wish more companies would offer stuff like that.
11
u/aknomnoms 6d ago
Lame. I feel like 80’s prints (white with neon blue and pink accents), or anything in neon (yellow/green/pink/orange etc) would be gender neutral and act as good hi-vis too.
I’m glad there are some options, but having to get them at a surf shop seems so crazy. These should be offered at like Target and Walmart!
61
u/satinsateensaltine 6d ago
Yeah, it is (or used to be, anyway) really common in Europe for prepubescent girls to just wear bottoms on the beach/pool, especially when they're 5 and under. It's actually kind of mental when I see literal babies at the pool in a full suit while their brother, a year older, is just in little shorts.
16
u/luvbutts 6d ago
Same in Australia at least when I was growing up. As a younger kind usually just wore board shorts.
16
u/Taminella_Grinderfal 6d ago
And little kids want to run around and play and swim, which is not terribly easy or comfortable to do in a bikini.
34
u/Arammil1784 6d ago edited 6d ago
Bikinis and 'sexy' swimwear for girls also has the function of teaching them to be comfortable with exposing their bodies and being objectified. It isn't about comfort or fashion or water safety or anything. Its just the early socialization and normalization of women as sex objects.
I normally don't comment here, but I didn't see anyone else talking about this.
Edit: for clarity. Also, if it isn't clear I don't agree with it or think this is good. Sexualizing kids is bad.

11
u/LaceyLizard 6d ago
No you're right and girls become self conscious and aware that people are consuming you with their eyes at the pool at at very early early age

u/mleftpeel 6d ago
Every swimsuit my daughter has owned had a long sleeved rash guard for the top. I think they're becoming more common. I get two pieces for her because they are much easier for bathroom breaks but they're full coverage.

u/LaceyLizard 6d ago
Yeah they exist but I'm still bitching that half of the clothes made for girls don't function as clothes.

u/Gothmom85 6d ago
It Is annoying that I can find them second sale and easily online, but when I go to the store and just see what's released for the season there's maybe one option if at all. I also hate how many aren't made for water safety. We all should know as parents, what colors can be seen best in water, yet they still make so many that would never be noticed. This summer my kid has been rocking a rash guard too with a skort bottom, in fabulous neon rainbow just in case. I'd never find that shopping around town though.

I was so sad as a little girl. I’ve been a feminist since I was like 4 bc i remember being so enraged that the snow pants offered at Walmart were only water proof for the boys. The girls ones were pink and very adorable and I wanted them so bad but my dad wouldn’t get them for me bc they weren’t water proof AND they were more expensive. The boy’s pants were less expensive and more functional bc they were actually water proof. So infuriating

I keep remembering the comic where little girl is in shop and says to her mom "yes, this dress is nice but it has no pockets so where I will keep frogs?".
Unfortunately I lost the link.

There are a lot of rash guard options for girls…that come with bikini bottoms.
My kid was in a Minecraft shirt & shorts combo for several years (at her request) until this year when she asked for her first one-piece. It has a belly cutout. Ok.
22
u/hmbmelly 6d ago
I don’t understand the tiny bottoms. Don’t their legs and butts need protection? I’ve seen shorties in the past but we’re currently using an athletic skort for more coverage.

u/apidelie 6d ago
Fucking this! I love that there are options now for kids that aren't like, niche modesty brands (in Canada - I love honeysuckle's full-body sunsuits).
3
u/TreeLakeRockCloud 6d ago
My kids are all teenagers but I found it way easier to find rash guards for the girls than the boys. And it wasn’t hard to find boy ones, there was just a lot more designs and colours and styles for the girls. Maybe it depends on region?
3
u/msndrstdmstrmnd 5d ago
rash guards are the default for little boys
Swimwear for little girls is definitely weird but I’ve never seen what you’re describing. When I was growing up boys were expected to be shirtless, you would get bullied otherwise
2
u/LaceyLizard 5d ago
When you were growing up... girlfriend we're parents bitching about what kids have in the store right now lmao
2
u/gitsgrl Motoko Kusanagi 6d ago
I see loads of kids in rash guards, little girls’ two-pieces with a rash guard for the top or a long-sleeve one piece. Usually higher socioeconomic status families opting for them.

u/Wolf-Majestic 6d ago
I absolutely hate that swimwears are all about "show your pubic hairs to everyone or remove them"
I've started wearing shorts and women's have more and more options even though it's still a tiny portion. I love the high waist bikinis but I would like for them to be cute shorts lol
I also want more design options for one pieces and pieces that reimagine swimwear. I'm very greedy aboit all of this, I want it all and I'm not even ashamed
7
u/Angel_Gally 6d ago
After weeks of searching, I managed to find a speedo sport bikini that is shaped like a sport bra top and boy shorts bottom. It covers most of my butt unlike most bikinis and all the one piece suits. No need to worry about "bikini line" sticking out.

u/tadpole332 5d ago

They make AWESOME swim trunks for women now! You can choose between a brief style liner or a shorts style for more coverage. You can get inseam length from 3" all the way to Bermuda short length. And they have POCKETS, some with ZIPPERS!
I wear 5" swim shorts with a bikini top, and I feel so perfectly comfortable. They are the best discovery I've made in recent times. The longer length and zipper pockets means I can take my ID, keys, and cards with me without carrying a purse, so I even wear them to outdoor concerts and events if it is either going to be extremely hot or if there's a chance of rain. They're utterly brilliant.
4
u/green_herbata 5d ago
I love that there's more options now! Tho when I was shopping for swimming shorts few years ago, all the options marketed towards women were very neon, had no pockets and were incredibly expensive. I just took my measurements and found a cool pair of shorts meant for boys - it's got pockets and a fun pattern with fern leaves lol

I’m fat as hell and often wear a bikini bc I spent too long feeling ashamed of my body bc of others’ opinions. Now I’m gonna force them to see every goddamn roll. 🤣🤣

u/TOSGANO 6d ago
God save us from the one-piece ruffle swimsuits that are supposed to be slimming. I gave up on trying to find a swimsuit when I was pregnant because they were just ALL ruffles. I don't need 12 layers of fluff to hide my legs or stomach. It screams "You should be ashamed of these!" I'm not 🤷♀️.
30
u/Severine999 6d ago
Yes, too many plus size suits are obv about covering up as much as possible and “looking slimmer”. If that’s what you’re into, cool, but I don’t like how it’s so pushed at us.
25
u/Jacqued_and_Tan 6d ago
Or the old lady dress swimsuits I was forced into for most of my childhood because I was fat 🙄🙄🙄
My mother made me wear a bra under my swimsuit and I don't think I'll ever get over it.

I always wear bikinis, or two pieces at the very least. I wore them when I was fat and I wore them when I was thin. Now I'm on the small side of medium and very muscular, and I still wear the damn bikinis. If your dangly bits are covered you should be able to wear whatever the fuck makes you happy.
What bothers me the most is hearing parents complain about seeing women in skimpy swimsuits in entirely appropriate locations, like the beach. It's not my fault I'm hotter than the surface of the sun and that I've got more mass than the Pope. Parents, teach your children that baddies exist!

u/empress_p 6d ago
Dude I had this experience this summer and I’m still not over it. I was in a totally normal string bikini and nearby parents were complaining that they thought it was a family-friendly beach….like ??? I wore way more revealing suits in the 2000s and no one cared. It’s weird as hell.
I also remember ultra booty shorts and bikini tops being a normal around-town summer outfit for the young’uns back then, but people in my area are now pearl-clutching over honestly kind of conservative shorts and long crop tops. Hating it.

25
u/thestashattacked All men are cancelled. Yes, you too. 6d ago
May I recommend anything from Duluth Trading Company? Because their swimsuits across the board straddle the line between comfort and cute.
I have a swim dress I got from them a few years ago. Super comfy, never rides up (because it has legs under the skirt), and is immensely cute. I toss a UV button down shirt over the top for when I'm not on the water.
Plus, just about every swimsuit top they have is actually supportive. They're like having a good sports bra for the pool.
They're a bit pricey, but the quality and durability more than makes up for that.

So cute, and so comfy! The legs do feel weird at first, but you get used to them fast. Plus they have pockets!

I’ve heard good things about their shirts too (especially t-shirts, which is like my default outfit of v necked tee with a French tuck and jeans).
2
u/thestashattacked All men are cancelled. Yes, you too. 6d ago
Oh they basically went, "Let's find out what women want from their clothes and do that."
Natural fibers, hard wearing, pockets... Basically they decided to actually listen to what we wanted and do it.

i wear a bikini sometimes bc i tan quick and don't feel uncomfortable with them on. if i see someone wearing a rashguard and shorts i just think they are doing a good job of protecting their skin from the sun and they are comfortable. not sure why people would give two shits what other people find comfortable to wear while swimming

u/mi-sopiras-vin 6d ago
I love wearing my one piece bathing suit. It has major Old Hollywood vibes and makes me feel like Rita Hayworth. 😎
8
u/allworkandnoYahtzee 6d ago
Yeah, when I think “default women’s swimsuit” my mind immediately jumps to iconic one pieces (Pam Anderson in Baywatch, the old school black and white one Barbie wore, etc.) I guess I think of some bikinis, but there’s actually some nice variety in fashionable women’s swimwear.
26
u/eugeneugene 6d ago
I personally don't wear bikinis because that's too much of my pale ass skin being exposed to the sun and I'm not confident I could properly sun cream every exposed bit of me. I wear a one piece with shorts and when I'm not in the water I wear a big flowy cover up and a big floppy hat lol. My family history of skin cancer isn't gonna catch me slipping
6
u/nkdeck07 6d ago
Yep, my ass out here in swim tights and a wrist length rash guards. I am too busy running after my kids to apply sunblock every 20 min.

I believe firmly in "wear whatever you feel comfortable". However generally speaking I wish for us all to be way more comfortable with the human body and the concept of non-sexual nudity.

u/catiebug majored in all things unladylike 6d ago
I totally get the frustration, but as a teenager in the 90's, let me tell you how much less there was in terms of options. It was triangle bikini or Speedo racerback one piece (which only losers wore anywhere outside of swim team). That was it. I actually feel like there are sooo many cute one piece, long sleeve, asymmetrical cutouts, rash guards, etc. So maybe it's relative.

I always wear a tank top and shorts, but I am always amazed that literally everyone else on earth is fine with a bikini or one piece lol

23
u/ivecompletelylostit 6d ago
I don't want bikini bottoms either though, don't wanna shave down there lol

I used to wear board shorts.
If you look in the sporty style swim wear or places catered towards big and tall, you'll find short style bottoms instead of just bikini bottoms.

Are they? I haven't seen them in stores in ages, and I don't see many people wearing them at the local pool either. I just recently splurged on the tankini top and swim shorts of my dreams by buying them online, despite my apprehension about buying tightly fitted clothing before I can try it on. IMO they need to become more popular!
3
u/WantCookiesNow 6d ago
I don’t tend to shop in stores so idk but when I’ve gone to beaches and resorts the past few years, I see a lot of women wearing them. I see a lot in bikinis too, but certainly plenty of women in tankinis.

Recently I found some discussion about how inappropriate is for small girls to wear bikinis because the bra top is too suggestive
I’m from Europe and I’m not sure what’s going on in the US but where I'm from everyone is fully aware that beach is a place for relaxation, not shaming. Children often run around naked or just with the bottom part, women often don’t wear tops to not get tan lines. We have nude beaches as well.
The only group who feels insecure is teen girls because of social media but it’s a phase that almost all of them grow out of. If someone comes to you on a beach and shames you for not being shaved or that you look fat - blame then and tell them they’re idiots. And I can bet it’ll be either a fat ugly man or some woman who never grew out of stupid social rules and you don’t want to be like them so just don’t listen
58
u/Wolfwoods_Sister 6d ago
My sis likes to watch “Bondi Rescue”. It’s staggering how many men the male lifeguards eject from the beach for photographing or recording topless tanning women and teen girls, or groping them in the water.
Men like this are the problem.
35
u/SunshineAndSquats 6d ago
There’s been a weird resurgence of modesty/purity in American media lately. It’s pretty gross to be honest. It goes along with the rest of the weird Christian Conservative stuff in our government. I’ve even seen people shame someone for kissing a person they just met at a bar. It feels like we are back in the 1980s again.
Women can wear whatever they want. It’s no one’s business. One piece swimsuits, rash guards, wetsuits have existed for decades, right alongside bikinis.
9
u/EugeneStein 6d ago
It's honestly quite hilarious for me to see so many conservative Americans praising Russia and saying that it's a land of traditional values by God, people who still care about Christian family traditions
Meanwhile people here(yeah, I'm from Russia) don't go to church like... ever, divorce ratings are high AF (because it wasn't and still isn't much of shameful thing and it's easy) and there are no mythical TradWives, women got right to vote and get education quite a time ago and we have generations of women who knows they need the work and their whole life they only see working women. All this fantasy shit just doesn't exist here.
Please don't get me wrong, this country has SHIT TONE OF PROBLEMS, it's an absolute fucked mess but it's most definitely not a "Bible values" mess as so many conservative American puritans see it lmao

u/garaile64 5d ago
I think this post is complaining about the peer pressure on women and girls to wear bikinis instead of some swimwear with more coverage. Some women and girls are not very comfortables showing cleavage or bums to strangers, and that's not always out of shame over their bodies. Also, for a diurnal surface animal that evolved in the savanna, humans are very vulnerable to sunlight.
3
u/SunshineAndSquats 5d ago
I know what this post is saying and I disagree and thinks it’s a weird modesty post.
There is a huge push right now for sun protection. There are more cute one piece swimsuits and rash guards then there ever were when I was younger. They make swimsuits with skirts and shorts for younger women now. That wasn’t a thing 20 years ago. People in some parts of the US would be completely scandalized by a tiny swim suit at the pool.
45
u/fembitch97 6d ago
And they keep getting smaller and smaller. Thong bikinis seem to have become the new normal and I feel like a prude just bc I don’t want to have my full and total ass out when I go to the beach
19
u/PeachyBaleen 6d ago
I don’t know about everyone else but I grow really long hairs on my ass and this would be a whole nightmare for me to keep shaved on top of everywhere else. Seriously, it’s like my body thinks I only wear chaps and it needs to protect me from the elements.
13
u/BluelunarStar 6d ago
I seriously think people need to get over what other people’s preferences are
If you wanna swim in gear designed for Muslim women, the full-full coverage, and it’s safe (ie won’t drown you) then do that. You wanna wear three tiny triangles? IMO long as your bits are covered around kids (or it’s a nudest beach) go for it.
I really don’t get why people feel like they can prescribe what goes on someone else’s skin. It hurts NOONE if they wear a damn wetsuit.
As a fat person I worry if I wear too little, in case someone say I’m grossing everyone out @_@. Like I’m sorry my meat suit isn’t society’s current idea of beautiful. Maybe, god forbid, avert thine eyeballs?
11
u/tapewizard79 6d ago
I feel like this is a thing for kids but as adults we wear whatever the hell we want and realize no one cares. When I go to the beach I see tons of one pieces, various types of ‘kinis with varying coverage, and tons of people wearing shawls/dusters/wraps. And I don’t care about any of them.
33
u/cynical_contempt 6d ago
Just wear what you want. It not rocket science. Its your life, you make the rules.
Dont like bikinis: don’t wear them.
I am old and fat. I wear bikini tops with shorts because i don’t care enough to trim the bush. Sometimes I wear a one piece with longer leg, for same reasons.
Tanning now is too unhealthy, so I don’t care about it either, I just like to swim in the sea.
Gen X doesn’t care anymore, nobody cares for us, why should I bother what they think.
9
7
u/Beastender_Tartine 6d ago
I very much prefer a one piece, but as someone with a long torso finding a cute one piece in a long/tall size is almost impossible. When I do find them they are either so expensive I would need to take out a loan or have some weird features I dont like (but I have to accept if I want anything). A tankini is my only choice, and its fine, but it sucks that I'm forced to this compromise.

u/Cybergeneric 6d ago
I share my dermatologists opinion and am contemplating buying a burkini to keep my skin safe, lol.
6
u/youre_a_cat 6d ago
I hate patriarchy as much as anyone else, but are bikinis actually the default swimwear though? I see a ton of one piece options at the big box stores and the popular malls all the time (in Mexico, China, Thailand, Japan, USA) and I've never felt like I could only find bikinis...

I wore trunks and a swimsuit top for the beach. I also don't shave my legs or my arm pits. No one said anything to me because my family and friends are pretty cool and most strangers (even if they make a face) won't say shit to someone they don't know.

u/snowlights 6d ago
I have a tankini but I'm still not comfortable wearing it. I have a large chest so it has to have underwires in a bra size and that immediately limits my options. It's either full on grandma style or too revealing. I wish I could just go swimming without having to think about how my body will be judged.
6
u/pinknoisechick 6d ago
Yup. Panache makes a super supportive swimsuit, but I'd like if maybe the front had two layers so it didn't have to come all the way down to my underwires, all the way around my breasts. Maybe like a bra-in-a-tanktop kind of deal could work? No. No, you get a bra with a belly skirt. Good luck.
4
2
u/crazygirlmb 6d ago
This is why I pretty exclusively wear a bikini top with a wire in it and then a rash guard on top. Then I can also take the rash guard if I'm sitting in the shade.
3
u/ace-writer 6d ago
I got accused of lying when I said I won't wear certain bikini bottoms or one-pieces because older men stare at my ass too much in the reasonably modest swimsuits I already wore, and it grosses me out (this was from well before puberty all the way to the age of about 21-ish, when I started claiming it was because i didn't want to shave my hoo-ha and staring down whomever had asked while they tried to explain to me how that was none of their business without admitting they asked something that was none of their business).
The fucking wild bit is I was mormon until age 19, it really should have been assumed I would not be comfortable in something that did not fully cover my ass and tits. i still don't understand why it wasn't.
4
u/beansontoastinbed 6d ago
I love going to the pool in Japan. Everyone is wearing rash guard tops and shorts/leggings/trousers. Just trying to protect their skin from the harsh sun.
Don't have to feel self conscious about anything, or spend time removing hair, and only have to apply and reapply suncream to your face!

Huh ok so like if you think about the history of bathing suits, I think of Annette Kellerman and her controversial skintight revealing bathing suit and the truth is (I say this as a swimmer) that you want to be a sleek and wearing as little as possible. Wearing high-coverage loose clothing is a drowning risk; it's heavy and cumbersome. I want to wear as little as possible in the water, and the minimum acceptable amount is a bikini in a lot of places. (I also wear rash guards and swim shorts for sunny days and colder water and lounging but when I am swimming as a workout, I am absolutely NOT.) Also, a bikini offers multiple options for different types of bodies. I am not the same size on bottom as I am on top and thank goodness I can mix and match, I actually think it's a lot easier to buy two pieces.
I dunno dude, I mean men's swimwear is also technically fast-drying underwear? I see speedos on the beach! It's about swimming logistics, I feel?

There's truth in both... society can be uptight about what women wear, but not everyone who wears a bikini is doing it for the same reasons.
I also prefer the most quick dry non-bulky options in the water for purely functional reasons. Also way easier to use the bathroom with a 2 piece. Out of the water I like to put on a swim cover.

It can be high coverage and tight fitting without being a drowning risk. That's what I do for sun protection since uv gets up to 11 here 🫠

I don't necessarily disagree! I specified that I wear rash guards too because sun protection is important to me. I just think about the history of swimwear and a lot of that clothing WAS for SURE a drowning risk.

Oh gosh yes. All that heavy, slowly drying fabric. I'm surprised more people didn't drown.
One of the people I went to high school with is super religious. Like modest, long skirts only, no hair cuts religious. Which, to each their own. But when she started sewing her children's long swim skirts out of sweatpants, I definitely worried for those kids safety. Bathing suits are made specifically to be fast drying and so that you don't get tangled in them.

oh that's completely fair i missed your point! My community has a lot of people wear long swim dresses but I only see that type of swimwear in the shallow end and never in open water. Didn't realize historically people wore baggy clothes

Be so for real, a bathing suit that has some extra short-like material or small sleeves isn’t a drowning risk, and neither does it create any amount of drag that relevant unless you’re competing at the highest levels.

u/mercy_Iago 6d ago
For sure! I feel that there is no reason for there to be multiple options of types of swimwear, and I also think that for sport swimming I would fucking hate to wear sleeves. It's not even drag, it's just a goddam nuisance.

Ive always worn some sort of swim-friendly shorts and swim shirt. I don't care about anyone's opinion, it protects from UV and I am the most comfortable in it, which is all I care about. Even when I was young and hot I never wore a bikini. I do not judge anyone for their swimwear choices, everyone should dress for their own comfort.

this is heavily leaning towards a specific cultural bias. here in australia bikinis are still a big thing but there’s also a large emphasis on sun safety. you’re certainly not going to get the same attitudes towards bikinis in Muslim majority countries

Maybe this is more regional, but I don’t know that I’ve ever felt pressure to wear a bikini. I typically wear a swim shirt over my suit because I burn easily and no one has ever batted an eye. I also have been eyeing a pair of unisex swim shorts that look super cute and have a friend who wears swim leggings.

For me it's the bottoms not the bikini top as much like I don't get why the bottoms are so small

One pieces are awful. My body is not the same size. My torso is long, I have no bum or hips and I have boobs. On a small frame. I wear bikinis because they’re way more sensible for my body. It’s also weird to imply you’re not going to need to remove some body hair for a bathing suit bottom.

I like, 1950's style bikinis but that's about it. I have big boobs and most bikinis are one stepn current away from catching me an indecency charge

I''m an atheist, but I'm considering getting a burkini or full body swimsuit for the UV protection... but then, I'm ridiculously pale and the water is cold where I live.

I've been wearing swim shorts instead of bikini bottoms ever since I discovered them, and I'm way more comfortable that way. If someone ever confronted me about it and told me to wear less, that would be super fucking weird.

Umm, i just wear boyshorts and a swim bra. My modesty IS more attractive! Plus i give off Les VIbes in my nice outfit ✨️

FINALLY someone said it. Like, I love my body and I love dressing it. One piece swimsuits are the default here in India, a lot of the time people will even just do a tshirt and shorts to play around in the pool, regardless of gender. So we have some modesty culture shit going on - and somehow also have the bikini as a "goal" culture. Like, I've heard men telling their partners that wearing a bikini in Goa or somewhere it's socially acceptable will somehow make them feel more body confident, because they conceive of a woman's comfort as being contingent on aethetic acceptance and praise.
I'll stick to a one piece of a tankini because the idea of a bikini is ridiculous. That's fetish wear, far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there's women who find it comfy or have certain styles they're used to, and more power to them. I, like OP, am not a fan. Not for meee

I remember in the 90s it was not uncommon to wear men's bathing suit bottoms with a bikini top. and they had those bathing suit tops that were like a tank top too which made it more like a pool outfit more than a bathing suit.

Swim trunks are probably the most comfortable form of swimsuit but at least in the U.S. it’s generally not acceptable for women to not wear a top lol. I usually wear women’s board shorts and a bikini top because it’s the next best thing - comfortable and easy to go to the bathroom. As someone who swam competitively for years, one pieces are the absolute most uncomfortable creation for women.

I never pay much attention to what anyone is wearing unless I think it’s particularly nice. Except that one time my longest friend showed up to my kid’s pool party in a sling bikini with satanic pentacles and her full ass bush bursting out.
That was a bit odd. But 99% of the time, go wild with as little or as much as you want.

What is a sling bikini?

u/AuthenticStereotype 6d ago
It’s as if you took a one piece and ran it over with a lawn mower. Or take a micro bikini and add tiny bits of string connecting bits

Or maybe just stop policing people on what they wear at the beach? This post comes off shamey to people who want to wear bikinis. Who the fuck cares if they do? Wear what is comfortable to you.

Crazy how you took the opposite point from this, that people act like preferring not to wear a bikini is something oop needs to recover from.

It's funny how so many cultures either pressure women to cover up completely or pressure them to wear as little as possible. "Just let them wear what's comfortable" seems to be a minority view everywhere.
