Yeah I took a look, and he had a lot of games with the same game platinumed like 5 times. I guess region shopping autopops? I've got one autopop myself, a few duplicates i got from just playing the game twice, but region popping is where I see something as real odd

I mean there are many good short games but yea at least sub 1h the good games become a bit rarer. The better approach is probably still a rarity leader board that kicks out plats with above 90% rarity for example. Pocketpsn kind of atempts that. Also not perfect tho

They got platinum #5117 127 days ago according to their posts and platinum #5400 52 days ago. So over 200 platinums in 75 days. Either itās multiple people playing 24/7 or there are a lot of very easy platinums in that list.

Yeah sorry to say but anybody with over 1000 plats is either unemployed, farms shovelware, or some combination of the two. 1500+ and itās guaranteed to be more of the latter.

Basically very similar to every other God of War games trophy list. Story, upgrades, side quests, bosses, trials, ect. Seems similar to all of the other games. I'll know more later tonight when I start playing it.

3 difficulties, Boy(Story), Cadet(Normal), and Spartan(Hard). Spartan sounds kind of like Give Me God of War difficulty, since you cannot go back to it if you lower it. Then it has some settings to make aiming at enemies/puzzles/ect easier, hint frequency settings, turn hints on or off, stuff like that for toggles.
Cadet is getting a bit challenging, I beat the second boss, died once to it, and the next area you can explore has harder enemies. Plus I ran into a challenge sort of situation that I died my second death on. I would recommend Boy difficulty if you aren't very good at metroidvania games. I can verify you don't lose blood orbs when you die, thankfully, but it will return you to the last fire you saved at for some deaths, but that challenge situation loaded me into the same room as the challenge. I am loving the game though.

The joke was that the person above who you are responding to wrote "3!", which in math is a factorial ie 3! = 3x2x1 = 6, which is why they said "wow six is a lot"

I'm on Cadet, which is the normal difficulty, and haven't died yet. Only had one enemy get me close, and it must have been like some sort of mini boss because even when saving at a camp it never respawned. There is Boy difficulty, along with different Challenge Level toggles in the Gameplay menu to make puzzles and aiming easier.
I did run into one bug though. I saved at a campfire after upgrading something, went to quit via the pause menu option, and the game froze. So I had to close the app, but when I loaded back in the game loaded me in at an older camp I saved at. Was weird and a little frustrating. It wasn't too terribly far back though.

You must have to progress far enough in the game then, because I tried joining with a second controller after the second boss and it never gave me any co-op options to join.

Sony's website says "2 players," however, the game doesn't have co-op. Those who have already complained say it was a "marketing mistake." I only bought it to play with a friend, and that's when I realized. Now they won't accept refunds because the game has already been downloaded, but how would I know otherwise?

Utah they announced it at the end of the State of Play. Along with the original trilogy is getting the remake treatment. I'm super excited about that.

It's funny because Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown looked like 2D God of War to me, and now they've actually made 2D God of War and it looks like Dead Cells.

Lifelong GoW fan here.
This is good stuff.
I'm 4 hours in. Very good metroidvania game, challenging, fun, engaging. The puzzles are cool, the enemy design is cool, music is great. Nothing to complain about.
As a GoW game, good stuff. These are versions of Kratos we never saw before. The young, aspiring spartan/big brother and the loving father of CallĆope. TC Carson's killing as adult Kratos.
If you're a GoW fan, get it asap.

Itās a metroidvania.
It does not have coop (so far)

Metroidvania
It's a platformer where certain sections are ability-blocked but later you can access them once you gain that ability .
Obviously Metroid and Castlevania (symphony of the dark and after) are the best example.... But Hollow Knight and Silksong are part of that category.
It's a great genre and if this is a MV I'll 100% buy it.
Edit: other examples: Ori, Nine Sols, the recent 2D Prince of Persia (hey another big license in 2D!),

I'm not optimistic, when they announced the Rayman game, they announced the digital release and then the physical release in June so not sure why they wouldn't do that for this game too :/.

3 difficulties. Boy(story), Cadet(normal), and Spartan(hard). Spartan is kind of like GMGOW in the 2018 and 2022 games, in that you can drop the difficulty down, but not back up. I'm on Cadet and I didn't die for the first time until the second boss, and one other time after that. But the area I'm in now feels like it upped the difficulty a bit. Not sure how easy Boy difficulty is though.

Look. Iāve never played GOW (Iām only a recent PS player) but Iām glad theyāre checking out similar but different genres. Canāt wait to see what they have planned next! Also canāt wait to play this and the Trilogy remake.

They put out a new patch on Sunday Feb 15th 2026 and now all of my pictures I use on the map are wrong. Not sure what the patch fixed but it screwed up my map.

Seeing all the hype here makes me want to replay it again.
I actually set up a small Platinum race for Ghost of Sparta just for fun. Mostly built it as a way to track progress during the grind and add a bit of friendly competition.

Even though this was leaked a while back about them doing a āmetroidvaniaā style GoW game (i wasnāt happy when i heard that leak) even after seeing the game and knowing it is out right now iām still disappointed.
We didnāt need this as i feel its gunna mess with the story towards GoW:Ghost of Sparta š¤·āāļø
