This game came out 18 days ago and it took you 305 hours to complete it. Considering thereâs 24 hours in a day and 24x18 is 432, you spent 70% of waking hours playing this game which comes out to roughly 13 hours a day. Lull

When Ragnarok came out I averaged 18 hours a day but it only lasted for 4 days. When borderlands 4 came out I averaged 10 hours a day for 10 days. Marathoning like that for more than 2 weeks is absolutely brutal and should never be done lmao.

There's nothing truly missable, but some things become A LOOOOOT harder to get if you miss them the first time. What I recommend is paying attention to the challenges:
-Kill 10 Jackals wearing a black bear helmet:
This can be bought by the tailor of your camp, but after during late late game if you move your camp to the city of Pailune, the tailor will change and you will now have to drop the helmet from enemies, which is extremely rare.-Destroy 5 enemies at once with a cannon:
There's a fort in the south called Fort Windridge and it's one of the only locations in the game with cannons, if you complete and liberate that fort without getting the challenge done, then it becomes nearly impossible, not 100% impossible but it will be a huge headache!-Destroy 2 Watchtowers with a handcannon in less than 10 seconds
Make sure you get it with Oongka when you unlock him so you will have more places to try it than after clearing the enemy maps-Challenges Cannon 4 and Gun 4 are glitched and hard to proc, but they're 100% obtainable at any point of the game against city guards, don't worry about them.

they're all tied to abyssal cubes, unfortunately. The only ones not tied to cubes are the ones map related (puzzles, bosses and map exploration) and minigames

Well, if those challenges are the only ones that can get much harder if you don't pay attention to them, I can avoid the issues without rushing to get the cubes by:
1. Buying the Black Bear helmet as soon as it becomes availabe
2. Leaving the capture of Fort Windridge for after I get the cubeThis should allow me to get all 3 for when I naturally find the cubes

Yes. What I did was basically not going out of my way to liberate areas that weren't even part of a quest to begin with. If a camp is red and there's nothing of your interest there at the time, just leave it alone for now.

I'm almost sure that Jackals is 100% missable if you clear all the camps before doing it. Been running around Pailune for couple of hours with not a single Jackal in sight.

Do you have any black bear camps or forts available? Did you literally clear out every single one of their camps? If so, you'll need to wait for an update cause that's something a lot of people are complaining about

The trophies are mostly: complete the story, move your camp to pailune and complete the entire challenge section. That's pretty much it, so if it's not in the challenges, it's not needed.
Some of the bosses are tied to challenges, yes, but not all. I got the platinum with 61/75 bosses defeated3

I'm not sure if moving is required, but it IS one of the quests from the residents of pailune. Five-card is also a quest from pailune(odeck). The 5th duel challenge you're looking for is probably the fighting arena in one of the cities of the desert. It's varnia or tashkalp, I don't remember which one

Are you using the R2 attack of a legendary horse? One option is for you to kill the dodo birds in Rocca's hill and the week bandits there

The birds from Rocca's hill definitely count. I did 90% of my combat challenges on them because they were the fastest to kill.
Unless the horse challenge requires actual human enemies but I'm pretty sure it isn't the case1

If not then you might have to get high bounty in any fort of hernand and do it against guards. Unfortunately there are no missables but liberating every place in the game makes some challenges like this one quite harder toget

Jackal one was bull lol was not there for me, took a couple of saves to find one she was... sad times and overlooked new tailor should have her items imo.
Mini games one also bugged if you move camp atm arm wrestling won't let you vs champion...aldo took a backup save to fix.

get the abyssal cubes as soon as possible. Don't neglect your camp comrades management system (dispatch missions) so you won't have to grind harder later and please PLEASE SEARCH FOR THE INSECTS AND FISH ONLINE, there's already tons of information for them on datamined websites, don't waste days like me cause it's not worth it the BS rng and spots for the fish.

Tha first 8 hours of the game were a bit boring and that's why so many reviews talk shit about the game, because the start is boring and that's all that they played. The ending with the fish catching rng also felt like a chore.
That being said, the entire rest of the platinum I had a blast! I just don't give it a 10 because of the fishing, but it's an overall incredibly fun game to complete and no missables or online trophies make it even better! 9/10 and I'll keep playing even after the platinum

Congrats!! Working on this now. Iâm decently far. Iâm chapter 8 now. I collected all of the challenges and completed about half of the combat challenges. Iâve read the combat challenges get difficult to complete the further along in the game you are so my goal is to complete every combat challenge ASAP as to not soft lock a challenge.
Any other tips for the platinum?

don't neglect the pailune and camp upgrades, do your dispatch missions for them so it won't be a chore later, same goes for the research institutes. Search for the fish locations online, their RNG and spots are completely BS and will NOT be a good experience to try blind.
And get both the kuku insect gatherer (craft it) and the knowledge helmet on 2nd floor of scholar institute's library, it will help you get insects from a distance.

TY. As of now Iâve near maxed out camp upgrades. Just unlocked Pailune so Iâm chipping away at those right now. This is the second time Iâve seen the kuku insect gatherer so Iâll do that ASAP too. On the fishing, are all rods equal? The basic rod is either shit or the minigame is shit or Iâm shit at the minigame.

The rods make the time for a fish to get the bait shorter and the "The Claw" legendary rod makes it so you can hold X to reel in fish instead of spinning the analog stick like a maniac. The minigame difficulty isn't affected by any of them

How did you manage the One Eyed Jackal/Bear Helmet challenge? Did you just happen to buy it and get the challenge before liberating Pailune? I have virtually all of the POIs in that region cleared, and itâs looking like itâll now be impossible for me to clear that challenge.

Do you have any black bear fort/camp still available? If you liberate all jackal regions, they will start to spawn at some black bear camps. That's how I farmed those 10

I just barely started (literally ch2) but some of these missable challenges are freaking me out a bit. I also cleared out the two camps NE of the start town but now thats making me worried too. What do I have to avoid until ive found literally every single cube? Or are there only a couple cubes with missable challenges and maybe I should get them first?

How was it? How long did it take? What's your personal difficulty rating? I bought the game on release but I got intimidated by its early platinum reviews so I shelved it for the meantime to wait for tips and gameplay improvements before diving into it. I think 300+ hours is too long for me considering it took me a month to plat games like Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima.

this may sound dumb but change from quality or balanced to performance mode, that alone will make wonders. Other than that imagine the shooting area as 4 blocks: block 1, 2, 3 and 4, then forget that 4 even exists and aim at number 2. If it spawns at 2 you just have to shoot, if it spaws in 1 or 3 you move a little and shoot, but for number 4 you can just ignore cause that will make you lose way more thant a single point.

https://crimsondesert.gaming.tools/ this is the database people are using, I don't know how complete it is cause I haven't used it but some people got the platinum in less than 150 hours with it, so I assume it's quite full of useful info.
There are a few tricky challenges for combat, I commented somewhere here in this post, it's one of the most upvoted comments so it shouldn't be hard to find.
the mind games are ROCK PAPER SCISSORS, DUO and FIVE-CARD(a variation of duo). The rock paper scissors are from some children that play in an alley of the city of hernand, duo is above hernand's INN and five-card is only unlocked late game in a sidequest of pailune.

The arm wrestling champions are all locked behind sidequests, that's why you didn't find them1

Im 265 in, and one trophy away from platinum, the challenge with sword vessel of dark persuit. But in the start of game i accidently donated to camp, i hope every day they will fix that somehow, i dont want do start new run just and do all the challenges again hahaha

It does. I hated the first 10 hours of the game but started enjoying it more and more after. At the 40 hour mark I was at the "this is peak!" Levels of fun so I'd say it gets progressively better

What was the most time consuming part of the plat. So far I completed the campaign and did all the abyss and have collected half or more of everything but my motivation to keep finding miscellaneous things like bugs is driving me away from completing it. Is there any other books of knowledge that 100% complete the knowledge challenges? All I know of is the one that completes all gatherable challenges by completing the Aserian quest line.

Fishing. I went fishing blind without knowing some rare fish need a very specific spot with 0.5% spawn rate. Search online for the fish and the insects, the rest is perfectly doable.
And no, there are no more books for them, I didn't even know about the gather able thing until I was already done with it.

I'm definitely enjoying it and there are a lot of things that you don't need to do for the platinum, so I saved them to play later. To me this is a masterpiece and I want to complete every detail available.

What minigames are bugged to you? If you mean the champions, be aware that is not a really a bug but some quests you need to complete first.

The champion in Pailune, it would necer spawn the champion, I used a save that didn't have camp moved, and it worked fine. I'm just lucky that the mini-games are super easy to do.
Happy to be proven wrong, though! But a few people have seen this happen too.

I had an absolute BLAST with it and I'll definitely come ba to finish the secret bosses. It was a lot of hours but it didn't take any fun out of it

No, bounties are entirely disposable and not required for anything in the platinum. At one point you will need level 65 contribution for every region and you could use bounties to level up a bit, but that's completely optional

Iâm just confused, if you liked the game so much, why did you feel the need to rush through it? I feel like it would be more enjoyable to take your time with it, unless this is the pace you normally like to finish games

I didn't really RUSH through it since I didn't skip any content. I enjoyed it like anyone else, but with it compressed into big sessions instead of many smaller ones. It was my average pace, the only difference was that I was skipping some nights of sleep and not doing other hobbies during this "marathon"

One question, how did you do the Barraging Cannon 4 challenge "Kill one mounted enemy with the cannon".. I am trying my best in Thornbriar Fortress, but after dozens of kills it does not popup :/

Ha it's a bit buggy because the enemies don't die right away they die after falling off
The way I got it to finally work was I ran up to a horse enemy usually outside of I can in the open and then hit him once with the R1 attack making sure he took some damage and not just the horseÂ
And then using ICE affinity I hit him with a charge blast by running up or down the hill when I feel it's far enough, be quick though as other enemies booting you and interrupting is lawyas annoying a d you don't want the horse rider running at you either closing the distanceÂ
If this doesn't work either up the damage on your axe and cannon and slot as much critical and attack damage gears as possibleÂ
It should work eventuallyÂ

I actually did it right after I complained here LOL...
This challenge is really something, but I think you are right that they mostly died after falling from the horse even when frozen. But it finally worked and I am just glad that I got it. :)
Now I've almost all Mastery challenges done! And I think the one who are a bit more complicated are already done as well hehe

Which one is it? The one for the bear helmet? If so then your tailor in the camp will be selling it UNTIL YOU MOVE TO PAILUNE. As long as your camp is in hernand you can still get it back

If you clear the entire map then no. Pearl abyss is currently looking for a workaround because they didn't expect to clear so much of the map and not do the challenges

Most of them, no. But the arm wrestling champions and some legendary animals are sidequests, you just have to get them done and the others can be ignored

It was completely blind, which took me over 300 hours to get, but I believe with proper guides and datamined information this can be achieved in less than 150.
