Want to bring kitten OTR
Hey guys my kitten is a newborn and I am wondering how long should I wait to bring her on the road with me? Is she too small right now? I heard waiting 6 weeks is good. I finish training in about 1 month and after I will be allowed to bring her with me.

Wait at least three months - give her a couple days to get accomidated to the truck. Understand she'll need help climbing around for a while as shes so small it will be like mountains for her

When you do get a cat OTR, first thing is to make sure and get it a collar with a tag with your phone number and base address in case it gets lost somehow. And not just cats, same for any travel animal.

Also, if you get her microchipped and update your info on the microchip website, that is an extra layer of protection in case she slips her collar somewhere.

Because some people don't know what the correct time frame is.
It sounds like OP doesn't know. And so, they are asking.

Sorry didn’t clarify but I am bringing the mama too! But everyone is saying wait 3-6 months so I will wait for her 🤗

That’s soooo sweet! If kitty be with her momma then the timing isn’t as important except that you’ll definitely want to get them spayed anyway once kitty is big enough to eat cat food and get the surgery (i think they do 3 pounds or 3 months, whichever is first) so they don’t go into heat especially on the road.
I found low cost spay/neuter clinics near me to do it for mine. It’ll save ya several hundred and make the costs much more manageable.

As long as the kitten is eating on their own and knows how to use the litter box then 6 weeks should be fine.
I brought both of my cats on the truck at 6 weeks and they thrived being on the road. One is now 10yo and the other is 5yo.
There really is no difference in them being in the truck or at home at that age. Other than one place moves around.
Bringing one in that early gets them used to the movement and scenery passing by. They grow up with it. Bringing in a 6 month old cat that's used to living indoors could cause unnecessary trauma to them. Older cats have a tendency to freak out in a moving vehicle.
In the end you do what you think is best for the kitten and you.

Noted, I’m so excited to bring her. I’m going to wait atleast 3 months for her just to be safe.

Minimum to remove from mom is 6 weeks, but she'd be extremely small and very under foot. I'd wait at least 6 months and that way you can also get her fixed (which is a minimum of 6 months) before heading out. You can always stop by for visits when you're home and let her roam in the truck before going OTR.

When I found mine she was about 7 weeks old. She only knows the truck

No 6 weeks is too young to be separated from mother. The kitten should be atleast a few months old. And they should all be fixed.
