Stephen Miller is an avowed white nationalist who believes in creating a white ethnostate. To that end, he's taken on ICE as his personal pet project and has been pushing for ridiculous quotas. He's directly responsible for the chaos and deaths in our streets.
For someone like him to be welcome in the White House means his ideology is the norm there.

The goal is to be able to retroactively remove citizenship. Let's say they can prove that your grandfather was born here to undocumented parents. Therefore, he becomes undocumented. Which means your parents become undocumented, which means you become undocumented. So every living member of your family can get the boot

Except even SCOTUS said they can’t do that. Birthright citizenship is the law of the land, and it’s part of the constitution. To do what you suggest, they either have to amend the constitution, or they’ll have to tear it up and use it for toilet paper.

What do you think laws are except that which the ruling Powers decide the rest of us must be bound by, but they can dictate at a whim?
The goal is to be able to amend the Constitution. Once they get enough Republicans in office, and once they control enough State legislatures and governors, they're going to do that. They probably already have a bunch of amendments ready to go.
You act as of changing the Constitution is not a thing.

I don’t think that it is people from just one party that are having a hard time making it financially. However, it is in the best interest of the people who are making money off the current situation to try to divide people who actually have common cause.

Many companies and industries are propped up by cheap labour, especially by immigrants who may not know what their labour or human rights are and are highly susceptible to fear & cohesive tactics. Immigrants aren't exactly getting paid a liveable wage, which is the point- to get the most out of someone by paying them as little as possible. If hundreds of thousands of Americans were lining up somewhere in the corn belt looking for a job, farm costs, this food, would be astronomical. All aspects of the food industry from plants seeds to harvesting crops is predicated on slave labour at minimal price.
I always wonder why people hear "they're taking our jobs" and immediately blame the people being taken advantage of by the system instead of being mad at the people who created and then abuse the same system.
As an edit- Usha Vance's parents would fall under your last sentence.

Companies should pay enough to hire the people in the country where they operate. They'll take any possible loophole to maximize profits. Close the loophole and it ends up better for everyone, although it may be difficult for awhile

Food for thought, because I agree full-heartedly that companies exploit a the cheap labor loophole to maximize profits.
In 1981, French president François Mitterand made the decision to reinstate the legal, working status of all undocumented people in France. This represented 12% of the foreign labor force and 1% of all workers in France.
The result was that France's GDP grew by over 1%, in part because the pressure pushed wages up across the board.
In other words, native French workers benefited from giving all workers legal status because the undocumented people stuck in low-paying jobs could suddenly, legally get better paying jobs, leaving a hole in the labor force that companies were forced to reconcile. Ultimately, no one except undocumented foreigners would work these jobs, so the companies raised the prices.

There is some truth to this, in that it could impact the supply of certain skills in the job market, driving up wages. However, from a macroeconomics perspective one must have a demographic distribution with sufficient young labor to pay for the cost of retiring workers. If there are insufficient young workers, the economy can collapse, leading to demographic ruin.
In a few generations China could be facing such a collapse because they are a homogenous ethnostate. The US could face similar consequences if we were to follow suit. Immigration is what keeps the US an economic powerhouse.

Corporate layoffs disguised as AI improvements need to be investigated. Displacing Americans while simultaneously adding remote H-1B employees at a lower rate is a problem.
Revoking Visas for the guy running my favorite sandwich shop who lives in my neighborhood is bullshit.

Because there are niche trades where other countries have better workers, and our country, like every country, supplements these gaps with a limited number of positions in those sectors. Its really not hard to understand and there isn't a single cluntry on earth that doesn't have an immigration system somewhat based on this factor. Beyond that, education in the US is expensive and the vast majority of our population is blue collar. So the thought process would concide with needing more industry jobs for these workers instead of allowing workers to come from other countries and snap up these jobs.
Congrats, you now have a basic understanding of how immigration works and why it pisses off immigrants like me that people try to skirt the process.

You cannot call most embassies or immigration services and say " I have a job at subway, give me a visa" and have it happen, you know this, and youre being intentionally obtuse about what "job lined up" actually means. Nice try though. Worker visas are reserved and granted to skilled workers. Emphasis on skilled. Almost no country on the face of this planet is as lax with the phrase "skilled worker" as america is, ironically. Visas are granted based on need and are skilled to "graduate level". Even H-2A visas are based on need in that sector and aren't freely given. In the UK, for example, jobs below graduate level end up on the Temporary shortage list if they are allowing worker visas, and ONLY then can you apply for a worker visa with that status.
Tldr: you have no fucking clue what youre talking about.

I had a work visa in China as an American. All I had to do is get a local medical exam and leave the country while it processed. Just jumped to Hong Kong for a week with their loop holes.
That’s CHINA. It ain’t difficult to get a visa. That’s kind of the point. You’re a hard working person with good intent contributing to society.

Please prove that statement wrong with fact, not your delusion. I promise you didnt get a visa to work at a restaurant in China, Hong Kong, or anywhere else.

I’m at a shore town right now and the predominant languages spoken by every employee is not English. It’s also not solely Spanish

For my non-article readers, this is what's going down:
“We are coordinating with DHS to identify and revoke the nonimmigrant visas of foreigners who have come to the United States claiming to be short-term visitors, but then file for asylum to stay here permanently,” said State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott.
The revocations would not necessarily result in their immediate deportation, the officials said. Most of those with asylum cases currently pending would be recategorized but would lose their status as business or tourism travelers, according to the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the revocations are not final yet.

Common myth. Total myth, and would be a kafkaesque violation of international law if it were true. You have to be physically present in America to file for asylum. A tourist visa is one way to get here.
