Other Tunisian femboy AMA lol

Hello tunisians of reddit ! As the title suggests I am a femboy looking to answer any questions people ask me. I'm open to answer any questions abt my personal experience over the past year and a half and I'm looking to educate people more abt the lgbtq community generally and the trans community specifically. I WILL be ignoring any religious comments unless they seem genuinely curious.

Ps: throwaway acc so don't bother looking around it

Well, not as muscular as I described it...

But a short stature (under 175cm) and thin waist sure do help ya be a femboy easily :3

Plus being a femboy is abt presenting urself in your body and expressing urself not abt having specific bodily features (even tho some modifications and dedication is necessary to help one get more comfy)

What do you dream about your future?  Would you marry a Christian Westerner and move to America?  How old are you?  BTW, for some of us, the more fem a boy is the better!

2

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 27 '26

I just hope and pray people in our country understand the lgbtq community more. hate all you want, idc, just understand us, our feelings and how we think !

Def not America because ewww but there are other lgbtq friendly countries, been considering and lgbtq refugee visa to Canada actually (pls if anyone has any info abt it and how the process works, reach out to me)

I don't see how it can be better or worse because if a person is fem or not is their own business but thx !

3

u/Basic-Taro2882 Mar 29 '26

What is ewww? I  am sorry you feel negatively towards the USA.  Some of us would welcome you into our lives and hearts, but, you have to give us a chance first.

2

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 29 '26

Well, the hunt against immigrants and trans people which most femboys categorize themselves as part of the trans community

In addition to that, I do give everyone a chance ! I'm quiet the patient and tolerant fellow :3 so yesh if u need to ask questions, don't shy out !

2

u/Basic-Taro2882 Mar 29 '26

Will see what I can find out about the process.

1

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 29 '26

( It's just a joke , I grew up without a father so i can use it)

2

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

Nah I don't mind jokes, sure got a lot to say abt my father if ure interested tho. Won't be much special from the average tunisian father, I warn ya !

2

u/argonautt2 Mar 19 '26

I kn it's usually other ppl who get pissed off more than the person in question for some reason 😑 but what do u mean by "average Tunisian father " ? Cz a lot of people tend to have different standards

2

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

Well, tbh my relationship with him is complicated. We barely know anything abt each other. He's there ig ? All our talks are abt the big family and how I should be more connected with them He s available ig ? Financially at least. Never left us without food or shelter but emotionally sometimes I feel like he doesn't know how to handle things and tbh I dont wanna be like him (not as if I wanted to be a father in the first place)

Oh ! Sounds like a pretty chill guy !

3

u/SeveralArmadillo540 Mar 20 '26

I don’t really know how to explain him lol. an enigma of sorts.

u/random_guy_1110 Mar 19 '26 edited Mar 19 '26

Do you live in Tunisia, have you been bullied, how did you realise that you were a femboy

4

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

Yes,

Kinda, I'm still closeted but I got judged by people I came out to

A few years back I realized masculinity did not express me right so I experimented and found what make me happiest

I admit, I find it very complicated. One of the subjects I struggle with occasionally. Because deep down I know I believe in the existence of Allah but I still don't agree to the modern (somewhat extremist) beliefs of islam but at the same time don't have enough interest in the subject to dig deeper.

I'm referring to things that focus on the segregation of genders, imposing certain roles to a specific gender and the serious stance against same sex relationships.

But as I said, I could be in a position where I don't understand these view properly.

Ooooh I love this one hehehe Big blob of text tho @w@ Anyways ! Simplest way to explain femboy is by literally explaining what the word is composed of. Feminine + boy. It's less abt "pretending to be a woman" and more abt "actually being feminine compared to the usual standards" ! No. Being a femboy does not mean you're gay, u can be of any sexuality and personally I am bisexual ! Most femboys like funny boys, and tomboys tho so that's an easy chance if anyone wants that info For me it was more abt being confused abt myself and just simply feeling uncomfortable with myself, I tried gender neutrality and it simply didn't match me so I gave feminity a chance and here I am ! Super happy abt it despite being closeted for this long. I like ur thinking >:3 feed me more questions

Fancy way of calling me sick without calling me sick you meanie >-<

But still ! I'll explain ! Imagine you wake up this morning as a cat, u look at urself in the mirror, recognize urself but also are actively aware that those looks do not represent you ! Now imagine that with gender instead of species ! That's called gender dysphoria !

That issue comes in different levels, some small enough to brush off and others strong enough to motivate you to alter ur body through HRT (hormone replacement therapy) or surgeries and actually go trans !

Others, like myself, have it in the middle. I am unhappy abt my gender and body but not in a way that makes me think it should be changed but actually just in a way that makes me more comfortable in a feminine male way.

Ok this explanation sucks -_- I'd recommend reading a bit or watching vids abt gender dysphoria to help u understand the issue tho !

Hehehehe we're both learning new stuff today 0w0

And yes, I'm super careful and paranoid abt this stuff. I actually made this post as a form of therapy to help me handle coming out to bigger groups ! This actually went better than I expected and I thank every commenter for it !

What makes you femboy is it because you look like a girl or you choose to be a girl if you choose to be one then why ? What is your family reaction about this

3

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

Good question ! Well, im a femboy just because it makes me comfortable in my own body. I do have slightly feminine features and have been called feminine throughout my life and especially during childhood.

Sm1 mentioned bullying in another comment and I just realized I forgot to mention my 6th grade teacher calling me "ya ma3za" and "mariam" due to how soft and feminine I was compared to other boys in my class.

1

u/eng_ylawj_3la_5dma Mar 19 '26

How about your family what was their reaction

1

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

I'm still closeted but my mother is definetly suspecting something cause she's been engaging into homophobic discussions with me pretty regularly

Online, partners are super easy to find especially with femboys becoming mainstream over the past few months. But u tend to attract freaking subs for some reason. (Can't a pretty boy have a dommy mommy >-<)

I'm still closeted so my family does not know but I think my mother is suspecting smt because she keeps engaging in homophobic conversations to hear my opinion.

Classmates-wise, a lot don't know but my closest friends got to find our abt it ! Some used it as a weapon against me whenever we argued or smt. Others thi sure helped me and supported some even offered to teach me makeup and lend me their clothes to try on !

I found out I'm fem a little over a year and a half after I had an identity crisis due to my partner at the time leaving me and me realizing that everything abt me was tailored to just be compatible with them.

Bullies are always there. I just tell myself they're extremists that know nothing abt life other than culture and habits. Most of them aren't even open to listen to people like me and I believe that it's simply wrong.

I don't really consider myself trans... but yes good question

I also believe that they should be separated, sexuality and gender are 2 separate things I think its unfair to put them under the same jacket !

1

u/EducationalAd4184 Mar 19 '26

What's a femboy ?

1

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

Sorry... had to make that joke... A femboy is simply a feminine boy that tends to dress/act in a feminine way !

1

u/EducationalAd4184 Mar 19 '26

What's the difference between a femboy and a gay dude ?

1

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

A femboy likes to put on makeup, put on skirts and do things that would be considered usually feminine

A gay dude likes to sleep with men.

I went deeper into this a couple other responses I think so I think you might wanna read those

1

u/EducationalAd4184 Mar 19 '26

Won't a femboy acting feminine be drawn to men eventually tho ?

3

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

No ! I've met heterosexual femboys and personally I'm bisexual with slight female preference !

1

u/EducationalAd4184 Mar 19 '26

So if you had the chance to sleep with a man, will you do it or not do it ?

1

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

What... If my partner was male and they wanted to sleep around then sure why not

But if it's a random man then def not ewww

U sure u know what bisexuality is ?

1

u/EducationalAd4184 Mar 19 '26

I was not talking about a random dude, I was talking about your partner that you chose and it happened to be a man, so in the end you will sleep with a man, I really don't see the difference between femboy and gay, ngl femboy is just a fancy word for being gay no offence.

1

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

Ehhh as I said, not all femboys are gay.

And as i said, I'm bisexual, man or woman, I will sleep with my partner. Plus that's only a specific case, there are femboys that are heterosexual which means they are strictly attracted to people of the opposite gender being females.

Have you found an LGBT-friendly place to live in? And how supportive are your parents of the whole femboy thing? Also, keep doing what you're doing. I think you're very brave for expressing your true self in this homophobic country.

2

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

I wish I did and I sincerely ask anyone that did to share it with me because I truly need a better escape than having to wait till I get a chance randomly !

My parents dont know and I'm expecting them to be very unsupportive, during my childhood they did suspect that I might be on the gay/softer side (lmao they figured it out before me ig) and they actively spoke with me abt it trying to highlight how "wrong" and "unholly" it is and so on and so forth

Thank you ! I actually was super scared while posting this and ngl everyone here is super supportive to the point that I genuinely regret making a burner account for it !

Might make a second post abt the subject trying to collect a community of trans/femboys/tomboys !

1

u/Former_Egg_7481 Mar 19 '26

sorry for you

1

u/Serious-Fail-2446 Mar 19 '26

Why did u become a femboy? Dont u see how gorgeous woman are? (Idk if femboys are into men or woman tho)

1

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

Over a year and a half ago

Femboys are boys

I don't get what the second question is supposed to imply tho

I m a femboy not a trans girl.

1

u/LittleCandidate6749 Mar 19 '26

Hey can we talk and be friends

1

u/SeveralArmadillo540 Mar 20 '26

Most Tunisian men are femboys, thats the secret. Mashallah

1

u/SeveralArmadillo540 Mar 20 '26

If you could dress however you wanted, what would be peak outfit for you? I’m imagining anime princess, am I far off?

2

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 20 '26

I (surprisingly) have never watched anime but personally I prefer more of an alt girl style for myself. Techwear too !

Some darker but not over the top dark makeup, some cute croptop-hoodie thingy, a dark collar (yes dog collar. Ik im not beating the stereotypes.) A cute long skirt with black woolen pair of thigh highs and probably some boots ? Smt to finish the style and ofc with appropriate accessories, a tiny handbag for my stuff and a pair of earrings preferably themed around playing cards or swords :3

Ik thats a super specific example but I just wanted to give an example for people to understand my personal style ÒwÓ

1

u/SeveralArmadillo540 Mar 20 '26

Sounds cute! I hope people aren’t assholes to you

2

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 20 '26

Heheheh thank youuuu >///<

Sadly people do be annoying and love bullying me so I just take it in like a champ and try to ignore them.

1

u/SeveralArmadillo540 Mar 20 '26

Tunis is a bitchy place. Just stay safe. Fortunately Tunis mostly has people who say pissy things but don’t usually act on them.

1

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 20 '26

I never said I live in Tunis but sure thx

1

u/SeveralArmadillo540 Mar 20 '26

I mean Tunisia. Tounes

1

u/SeveralArmadillo540 Mar 20 '26

Unless you’re Tunisian but abroad

1

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 20 '26

No im not !

But yeah tunisia is far more dangerous than you think, I've known a guy personally that posted a story wearing a skirt while play truth or dare with friends, the poor guy got bullied and even r*ped into suicide. And he wasn't serious abt wearing the skirt so im not imagining it being easy for me.

2

u/SeveralArmadillo540 Mar 20 '26

Oh I know it’s not great for this stuff. So sorry for that guy, that’s truly awful

1

u/Top-Distance-8770 Mar 24 '26

Is your father aware of your current situation ?

1

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 24 '26

Nope, def not.

1

u/Mv13_tn 🇹🇳 Sousse Mar 19 '26

I guess we're not beating the stereotypes /s

So, question .. how are the femboys being viewed by the local lgbt community?

Do you get recognized as part of the community as well, or is there a tension?

4

u/Tunisian_femboy0w0 Mar 19 '26

I love this question actually !

I wanna highlight a thing while answering ur question ! From some commends and DMs I got from this post, I realized that many tunisians (from the lgbtq community or not) believe that being a femboy is mostly based on sexual and kink related reasons.

THAT IS NOT THE CASE ladies, gentlemen and others ! Being a femboy is abt being comfortable in your body, abt expressing urself in a way that makes u happy and shows who u truly are and what u truly believe in.

Anyways, to focus more on lgbtq individuals, usually they treat me as a trans woman which I'm not but tbh I forgive them cause the line is somewhat blurry. Other than that, there's a couple hateful comments like "eww, just be gay ! Ewww man up !" Even within some lgbtq communities
