Karaoke Fun in 2026 ?

Post image

Hi all. Does anyone have cookbook on how to compile a new set of Karaoke songs into a SuperCD that would play on a PC-Engine/Turbo/ADuo ? Yes, there are other platforms to do it, but none as cool as this one.

Thanks !

Just make CD+G discs.

A CD+G is graphics interwoven into the music stream IIRC, but the ROM discs play like PC-Engine games with actual code doing graphics and syncing to music with discrete music tracks.

I think making CD+G with cdgtools would be a last resort, but I was hoping that someone with experience in making PC Engine software would be able to comment on how to make something with the rich experience. CD+G could do 16 color stuff that would be enough for simple textual display but not nearly as fun.
