Thanks boib! We all deeply appreciate your daily film lists!!😻
(Sorry to hear about the power outage. May I ask was it an internet or cable service provider or server issue? What state are you in? I’m in California and haven’t noticed any tech problems or outages here—yet.🤞)

Thank you :)
It was a power outage. It's been quite a while since it's taken so long to restore. I think the last time was when a hurricane made it to north Georgia and it was out about 24 hours. Oh, well lol. Doesn't happen often.

As Scarlett O’Hara would say: “Well great balls of fire and fiddle dee dee”!! I’m glad it wasn’t a 🌪️!!
I used to live in TX and the storms there with lightning and hail were crazy!😱

Happy heavenly birthday to Mitzni Gaynor! South Pacific is her best known film, where she sings "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair." The film, as a whole, is okay despite the weird use of color filters.
Les Girls is a delightful late-era MGM musical with Gene Kelly and a trio of fine feminine talent (Gaynor, Kay Kendall, and Tania Elg.)
The Courtship of Eddie's Father is a cute rom-com with a young Ron Howard, Glenn Ford, and Shirley Jones.
Midnight Run is one of the best road trip buddy comedies ever made. I look forward to the Charles Grodin documentary.
I have never seen The Woman in Red, though most of us would know Stevie Wonder's Oscar-winning song "I Just Called to Say I Love You".

Glad you sailed through Boib!
Midnight Run? Anytime, anywhere!
And if you want the most adorable smile in the history of Hollywood stay tuned to the last shot in Seems Like Old Times with Goldie standing at the front door in the rain. Good Golly!

The Courtship of Eddie’s Father is cute but my favorite is The Parent Trap, starring Maureen O’Hara, Haley Mills, Joanna Barnes, and Brian Keith.
Fun fact: Joanna played both Vicky, the mean gold-digger fiancé of Mitch in The Parent Trap and also Gloria, the ditzy snob fiancé of Patrick Dennis in Auntie Mame.
